The 2026 AFLW season continues this weekend with Round 4 which includes four matches on Saturday and a whopping five on Sunday. There are some lopsided fixtures on the cards with one of those being powerhouse Kangaroos taking on last-placed Saints, although there are also plenty of fixtures that should go down to the wire.

2026 AFLW Round 4 Betting Tips
Western Bulldogs vs Sydney Swans
Saturday 12:35pm AEST, Mission Whitten Oval
It’s a quality matchup first up in Round 4 between two teams who will be confident they can play finals footy this year. The Bulldogs are 2-1 after a loss against the powerhouse Kangaroos last week but certainly weren’t disgraced. They remain without arguably their best player in Ellie Blackburn, so their engine room is still lacking a bit of class.
The Swans are flying after a 3-0 start. They ran over the top of the Crows in a gritty win first up and have backed it up with two comfortable wins against lesser opposition over the past fortnight. They now have some real midfield depth and have one of the most dominant rucks in the competition in Ally Morphett who looks to be back to her best. They have a clear class advantage here and I expect them to winning by at least two goals.

St Kilda vs North Melbourne
Saturday 1:05pm AEST, RSEA Park
The biggest mismatch of the round takes place at RSEA Park on Saturday with the last-placed Saints hosting a North Melbourne side that hasn’t lost since 2023. So, let’s keep this one short and sweet. Unless it’s a heavily rain-affected game, the Kangaroos simply have way too much class across all lines and should be easily winning this by 10+ goals. This should be yet another percentage-booster for the back-to-back champs.
North Melbourne -52.5

Port Adelaide vs Gold Coast Suns
Saturday 2:35pm AEST, Alberton Oval
This is one of the more intriguing games of the slate and has the potential to be a bit closer than perhaps most would expect. The Power look to be a top eight chance this season and are coming off a gritty win against the Giants last week to move to 2-1 on the season. Meanwhile, the Suns have shown some serious improvement after a disappointing 2025 campaign, simply due to how many high quality youngsters they had access to in the draft.
I fully expect the Power to be taking the four points here but feel slightly more comfortable taking them to win in the 1-39 range instead of backing them to cover the spread, as I can see the Suns pushing them all the way and making them really earn the points.

Brisbane Lions vs GWS Giants
Saturday 6:35pm AEST, Brighton Homes Arena
The Lions, who are perennial contenders and of course last season’s runner-up, severely lowered their colours last week in a huge loss against the Demons. However, you shouldn’t overreact to that performance as the Lions still have immense talent all over the park and will be keen to quickly make amends. They remain without Ally Anderson in the midfield but have the depth to cover.
Meanwhile, the Giants have been competitive through the first three rounds, winning their first hitout against the Eagles before falling to two quality sides in the Demons and the Power. They have a young list that is on the improve but this is simply a task to much for them at their current level. The Lions will be looking to bounce back in a big way and a 5+ goal win looks likely.

Richmond vs Fremantle
Sunday 12:30pm AEST, IKON Park
Sunday action kicks off at IKON Park with an interesting matchup between two sides who will be hoping to fight for a spot in the lower part of the top eight. The Tigers are coming off a great comeback win against the Bombers last week to move to 2-1 on the season, while the Dockers were narrow six point losers to the Blues in a performance full of merit.
Although the Dockers have the inferior record to start the 2026 season, they’ve had the tougher draw and are the deserving favourites to even their ledger at 2-2. Aisling McCarthy is a big out in the engine room although they still have the edge in that third of the ground against the Tigers who have been a bit Mon Conti or bust in recent years. The Dockers look to be a decent bet to cover the spread on the road.
Fremantle -10.5

Hawthorn vs Adelaide Crows
Sunday 1:05pm AEST, Kennedy Community Centre
The tightest match of the Sunday slate from the market’s perspective is this one as the Hawks host the Crows. I’ve been impressed with the Hawks this season – they've put together three strong performances to start the year and I’m surprised they aren’t shorter in the market here. The Crows lost a few key magnets in the off-season and although they steadied the ship with a much-needed win last week, I still think the gap in talent here makes the Hawks a great bet to cover the small line.
Hawthorn -5.5

Geelong Cats vs Essendon
Sunday 2:35pm AEST, GMHBA Stadium
The Cats have bounced back quickly from their Round 1 thumping at the hands of North Melbourne to string together back-to-back wins. Their midfield led by Preskapis and Bowen was humming last week as they took down the Suns by seven points on the road. They now head back to their home deck where they thumped the Saints a fortnight ago.
The Bombers looked on their way to their first win of the season last week when they led the Tigers by a couple of goals heading into the final break, but they were thoroughly outplayed in the final quarter in a disappointing turnout. However, the Bombers do have some quality in the middle of the ground to compete with the Cats here and I suspect they can hang around long enough to cover the big spread.

Carlton vs Collingwood
Sunday 3:05pm AEST, IKON Park
Carlton and Collingwood meet in the penultimate game of Round 4 and it looks to be a one-sided one according to the markets, with the Blues starting as over five goal favourites. The Blues have quickly become one of the better teams in the competition over the past 18 months and have started this season at 3-0. They now have some serious midfield depth with Claudia Whitfort added to that in the offseason.
Meanwhile, the Magpies have endured another tough start to the season with three losses. In saying that, they have been relatively competitive in all three losses and have avoided being blown out. I think we could be in for another honourable loss on Sunday.

West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne
Sunday 5:05pm AEST, Mineral Resources Park
It’s been a disastrous start for the Eagles who made a finals appearance last season – they are 0-3 and now face the second best team in the competition. Ella Roberts has tried hard once again in the midfield, as has Charlie Thomas down back, but unfortunately they lack depth across the ground which makes it tough to string together strong passages of play on a consistent basis.
On the flip side, the Demons have hit the ground running at 3-0 and loom as the only real threat to North Melbourne’s three-peat. They have stars across the ground and should dominate from start to the finish here. Take them to cover the big spread.
Melbourne -30.5
