Royal Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, July 25th 2026
Race 7 – Sydney Roosters Partners BM72 - 1100m (2:50pm AEST)
(1) Benevac – 3YO gelding who continues an incredibly consistent preparation, rewarded with a dominant, front-running victory last start. He completely controlled the tempo from the front to score by over two lengths without ever being seriously challenged. He remains in BM72 grade over the identical 1100m sprint trip. He rises just 2kg for that convincing win, a penalty that looks well manageable. He is rock-hard fit and maps nicely again for this. Happy to stick with him and he looks the standout bet.
(4) Aleppo Pine – 3YO Gelding who hasn’t been disgraced in his most recent runs and had some good formlines behind Columbia Blue and Ice Kool who have proved to be talented types. Sticky gate, but Zac LLOYD is more than capable of giving him a site.
(9) Sir Les – 3YO gelding who is coming off a 54 day freshen up, but strung together back to back wins before only going down by 1.2L over this trip/grade on the heavy deck. Gets back onto the soft track now and is likely to try and dictate from start to finish.
(1) Benevac - WIN
$3.00 (2.5 Units)
Race 8 – Atc Thank You Trainers BM88 – 1600m (3:30pm AEST)
(4) Mickeys Medal – 5YO gelding who looks over the odds here at $10.00. He was enormous last start winning over 1400m when caught 3 – 4 wide for the entirety, but loomed and kicked when straightening and won well in the end. Remains at the same class, but gets out to the mile which doesn’t appear to be an issue off that recent effort. Drawn better and gets in half a kilo lighter with the 3kg claim engaged. Over the odds and worth thought at the price.
(7) Electric Impulse – 6YO mare who drops significantly in grade following a strong Victorian campaign. She looks ideally placed to capitalise here, bringing excellent form into this easier Sydney assignment. Last start, she defied a rise in class to clock a blistering -8.2 L600m closing split and a massive -13.5 overall benchmark. The booking of Nash Rawiller is a huge plus for this. From a favourable draw, she maps to secure the perfect run in transit. She is incredibly versatile on any surface and loves the mile, boasting a stellar 7:3-3-0 track record at the distance. Now fourth-up and peaking in fitness, she looks primed. On top.
(15) Sevens – 5YO Gelding who has been racing soundly this campaign, but just cant notch up that next win. Up in grade here, but drawn well and gets in nicely at the weights. Conditions will suit again. Chance.
Also Backing: (4) Mickeys Medal - WIN $10 (1 Unit)
(7) Electric Impulse - E/W
$6.50/$2.35 (1.5U/3.5U)
Race 9 – Elite Sand And Soil BM88 – 1100m (4:10pm AEST)
(3) Celui – 5YO gelding who has the ability to run a good race and win amongst this company, but recent form and form over 1100m is the query for punters. Capable on his day.
(5) Ice Kool – 3YO Gelding who has already proven to be quite the talent. CV is 5 starts for 4 wins. Scratched last week to run here, so confidence for this race must be high for the Pifeffer camp. Conditions suit and has since trialed well. On top.
(9) Monte Kate – Roughie of the race whose recent form is actually pretty handy. Drops back in grade here after competing at Group 2 level. 15 Weeks since that run and history shows she doesn’t fire first up, but with a trial under her belt she may be okay here. Handles the conditions and has a good record with Molly Fitzgerald in the saddle. Blow out hope.
Also Backing: (9) Monte Kate - WIN $46 (0.5 Units)
(5) Ice Kool - WIN
$2.05 (5 Units)
