Adelaide vs Melbourne Prediction & Betting Tips: AFL 2026 Round 15

Back On Track

After an underwhelming start to the season, Adelaide have won five of their last six games to move into the top six. The Crows produced their best performance of the season last week, dominating the Western Bulldogs on the road. Jordan Dawson continued his electric form with 32 disposals and 3 goals, while Rory Laird (35 disposals), Josh Rachele (4 goals) and Riley Thilthorpe (3 goals) all contributed strongly. Adelaide’s work in the contest has been key to their resurgence, ranking second in the AFL for contested possessions. Across their last four games their contested possession differential has been +20, -18, +7 and +26. This has led to big scores from stoppages, scoring 51, 36, 41 and 55 points from this source across their last four games.

The Dees Are Legit

Back to back losses in Round 11 and 12 raised questions about whether the Demons could continue their early season form, or would they regress. Back to back wins over Collingwood and Essendon has seen Melbourne jump back into the top four, with an excellent launch pad for the back half of the season. Kozzy Pickett has been outstanding over the last fortnight with 28 disposals and 3 goals against Collingwood, backed up by 32 and 3 goals against Essendon last week. The Demons have been a low disposal, high impact team this season, ranking 2nd for inside 50’s, 2nd for clearances, and 5th for points per game, despite ranking 15th for disposals.

Recent Head to Head History

Melbourne have had the better of Adelaide in recent seasons, winning four of their last five games against the Crows. Adelaide Oval has held no fears for the Demons, who have won five of their last seven games against Adelaide at the venue.

Crows or Demons? Here’s our Adelaide vs Melbourne Tip

The Crows are rounding into some great form and looking like the side that finished on top of the ladder in 2025. Wins over Geelong and Western Bulldogs across the last fortnight has shown their capitalities when at their best, and they’ve won five straight games at the Adelaide Oval. Melbourne have been excellent this year, but interstate games haven’t gone well for them, going 0-4 in matches outside of Victoria, with losses by 48, 45, 17 and 49 points.

These two sides are both strong around the contest so, if the Crows can win the contested possession and clearance battle, it will go a long way towards winning this game. Adelaide have the key forwards that will push Melbourne’s backline, and they’ll continue their hot form at home.

Adelaide vs Melbourne Prop Bet

Week after week, win, lose or draw, the Demons play in high scoring games. Adelaide put up a brilliant attacking performance last week scoring 121 points against the Bulldogs last week, so all roads point towards a high scoring affair.
