PGA Tour: Procore Championship

September 11th - 14th, The Silverado Resort & Spa North Course

Top Picks

Scottie Scheffler ($3.30/Top 5 $1.47)

World No. 1 and one of the year’s most in-form players, Scheffler headlines a loaded field. His precision and consistency make him exceptionally strong at Silverado, where iron play and short game mastery are essential. As he continues his dominant 2025 campaign, he’s the player to beat this week.

Justin Thomas ($18/Top 10 $2.40)

A two-time major champion and recent winner at the RBC Heritage, Thomas brings his fiery competitive spirit to Napa. His creativity, clutch putting, and strong history at Silverado position him as a serious contender to kick off the fall season with a bang.

Dark Horses

Davis Thompson ($51/Top 30 $2.00)

The 25-year-old broke through earlier this summer with a victory at the John Deere Classic, showing both poise and the ability to go low under pressure. A rising talent with a fearless approach, Thompson’s length off the tee and streaky putting could make him a dangerous presence if he finds rhythm early in Napa.

Mark Hubbard ($76/Top 30 $2.30)

Hubbard doesn’t boast the raw power of some of his peers, but he’s quietly put together a consistent year with a handful of top-20 finishes. His tidy short game and ability to grind through tough setups suit Silverado’s tricky greens. If the leaders stumble, Hubbard has the temperament to capitalize and post a sneaky top-5 or even contend.

The Field

This year’s Procore Championship hosts the deepest field in the tournament’s history, featuring 10 confirmed U.S. Ryder Cup team members, including Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Russell Henley, Harris English, Sam Burns, and Cameron Young. Just two weeks out from Bethpage Black, it’s the perfect competitive tune-up.

The field blends elite stars with mid-tier players hungry to elevate their FedExCup standing or secure full Tour status. With a 500-point prize for the winner, a two-year exemption, and invitations to major events on the line, the stakes are high.

With a cut after the second round and a wide-open leaderboard likely, aggressive strategies and hot putting could significantly reshuffle expectations. Watch for players needing momentum heading into the fall season, especially those just outside the top tiers of the FedExCup rankings.

The Course

The Silverado Resort & Spa North Course, a par-72 playing at approximately 7,166 yards, blends Robert Trent Jones Jr.’s original design with Johnny Miller’s 2011 renovation. Located amid the vineyards of Napa Valley, its tree-lined fairways, large undulating bentgrass greens, and subtle elevation changes demand precision and thoughtful club selection.

Key holes include the enticing, risk-reward par-5 5th with double dogleg character; the long, wind-affected par-4 7th demanding strategic tee placement; and the signature par-3 11th, playing over hazards into a narrow green, often a focal point for scoring swings late in the round.

September in Napa typically brings warm, dry weather, setting up firm and fast conditions. With firm fairways and slick, quick greens, the course rewards sharp iron play, putting touch, and the ability to adapt to evolving conditions, keys for any contender this week.
