They will be disappointed that they didn’t score any more points after jumping to a 16-nil lead inside 25 minutes. Their 82% completion rate covered for their 46% share of possession, as did averaging 8.9m per carry. This led to 46 tackles breaks and 4 line breaks. Their defence was also strong, missing just 25 tackles. They appear to be doing everything right now and continue to succeed.

Pick on form and it’s an easy decision
Despite the factors above working against the Raiders, the decision on picking a winner should simply come down to form. The Raiders are the better team and have played to a consistent standard; the Knights have been consistently poor and are vulnerable in multiple areas. They should be improved following their performance last week but not enough to win this match. Given the home teams record, their most recent win and the decision for the visitors to rest a key Origin player, perhaps it will be closer than most this (history suggests this also). There is the other factor that doubt about Ponga’s place the Origin team has grown to the point that Walsh is seriously being considered. That should bring out the best in their star player.
