Tigers vs Raiders Predictions & Tips: 2025 NRL Round 16
Tigers Desperate to Continue Improving
The Tigers were spirited against the Panthers in Round 14, narrowly defeated 18-14. They must build on that performance, taking confidence from their 53% share of possession and 81% completion rate. They also managed to make more PCM’s. Improvement is still needed defensively though, as they missed 39 tackles and allowed 7 line breaks. Continually allowing teams positive field position is always going to be difficult to overcome. They have a strong basis in this game from which they can build from.
Playing Like the Best
The Raiders are 2nd on the competition ladder and performing well each week. Their Round 14 36-12 demolition of the Rabbitohs is testament to this. Trailing 12-nil inside 15 minutes, they didn’t panic; rather, they built pressure and tightened up defensively.
This was evident in their 54% share of possession and 86% completion rate, which allowed them to make 9.7m per carry, 646 PCM’s and 7 line breaks. Their defence was also strong, missing just 29 tackles and allowing only 3 line breaks.
Stats That Matter
- The home team has won the past 3 meetings between these two sides. The Raiders have won the past 3 matches played at this ground.
- The visitors have an edge on both sides of the ball. They average 28ppg in attack and 21ppg in defence. The Tigers are well behind them, scoring just 20ppg and allowing 25ppg.
- Despite losing their most recent match, the Raiders have won 4 of the past 5 meetings. In that time, the average margin of victory is 19 points.
Raiding their Opponent’s Home
This game is the visitors to lose. While all Origin players have been named to back up from Wednesday night, the advantage still rests with the visitors. They have performed well this season and have a style which grinds away at opponents and strikes with power when it matters; they take their chances. Expect the game to be tight early. This is usually a game where the Raiders can concede more points than they should. Their slow start against several teams this season is yet to be punished. The Tigers are capable, but they will have to lift several levels to trouble their opponents here. The superior defence of the Raiders should make them capable of covering the line also.

Tigers vs Raiders Same Game Multi
Leg 1: Total Points Under 47.5 – The average total in their past 5 matches is 52.2 points. That shouldn’t worry you as this is impacted by the 72 point match the last time they met. 3 of the past 5 matches have totalled no more than 44 points.
Leg 2: Savage to score – He went scoreless last week but still sits 2nd for the most tries for the Raiders with 9. Expect them to get the ball to him as much as possible in positive field position.
Leg 3: Strange to score – he is growing in confidence, evident by his 3 tries in the past 2 weeks. He has scored 6 for the season and will again be a threat when taking the ball to the line.
