Week 7 Fantasy Picks & Lineup Strategy
Quarterbacks • Running Backs • Wide Receivers • Tight Ends • Defence
Week 7 presents several outstanding opportunities for Draftstars players, with three matchups standing out as particularly attractive stacking targets.
Green Bay travels to Detroit for an NFC North showdown carrying a total of 53.5 points, while the Rams face the Raiders in another game offering significant offensive upside. Houston also deserves attention as a substantial home favourite against the Giants, particularly with the way the Texans’ offense has looked of late.
My preferred lineup builds around Packers v Lions, using Jordan Love and Matthew Golden with Amon-Ra St. Brown coming back from Detroit. It also includes double exposure to Houston's receiving group through Nico Collins and Jaylin Noel.
With premium players commanding substantial salaries, finding inexpensive running backs and tight ends will be crucial.
Let's examine the selections worth targeting in Week 7.

Key Week 7 stacking targets
Packers vs Lions (53.5 total) • Rams vs Raiders • Texans vs Giants
Quarterbacks
C.J. Stroud $14,930
C.J. Stroud offers an appealing alternative to the more popular quarterbacks this week as Houston hosts the New York Giants.
The Texans enter as 10.5-point favourites, with an implied team total of approximately 27 points. That's an attractive environment for a quarterback who has already demonstrated the ability to produce substantial passing numbers.
Stroud has thrown for multiple touchdowns in three games this season, while Houston has scored at least 30 points on three occasions.
The return of Nico Collins has strengthened the passing offense, while Jaylin Noel is emerging as another dangerous receiving option.
The obvious concern is game script. Houston could establish a comfortable lead and reduce its passing volume during the second half.
However, at $14,930, Stroud offers a relatively inexpensive route into an offense projected to score heavily.
Pairing him with Collins, Noel or both provides an attractive alternative to Detroit v Green Bay.
Jordan Love $15,740
Jordan Love is my preferred quarterback selection this week, primarily because of the outstanding matchup against Detroit. The Packers travel to Ford Field for a divisional contest carrying the highest total on the slate.
Love has been impressive through six games, averaging among the league leaders in passing yardage while consistently generating explosive plays.
He now faces a Detroit defence that has struggled considerably, despite the Lions' impressive offensive performances.
The potential game script is particularly appealing. Detroit is capable of scoring quickly, which could force Green Bay into an aggressive passing approach throughout the contest. At $15,740, Love is reasonably priced given the scoring environment.
Matthew Golden and Tucker Kraft provide attractive stacking partners, while Amon-Ra St. Brown or Jahmyr Gibbs can be used as Detroit bring-backs.
QB Strategy
Packers v Lions is my preferred game to attack, with Love providing an affordable starting point.
Stroud-Collins is another attractive combination, particularly if Houston's touchdowns come through the air.
Matthew Stafford also deserves consideration against Las Vegas, with Puka Nacua or the cheaper Konata Mumphfield providing obvious receiving partners and Brock Bowers or Tre Tucker offering Raiders bring-backs. The injury news surrounding Nacua has me leaning away from this game though.
Running Backs
Jahmyr Gibbs $21,970
Jahmyr Gibbs is the premium running back selection this week, and his enormous fantasy ceiling makes him difficult to overlook.
The Detroit star has been outstanding through the opening six weeks, combining explosive rushing ability with significant receiving involvement. That versatility is particularly valuable against Green Bay.
While the Packers have improved defensively, Detroit possesses enough offensive talent to challenge even the strongest opponents.
Gibbs can generate substantial production through rushing yards, receptions and touchdowns, making him less dependent on one particular game script. His receiving involvement also makes him an excellent bring-back in lineups featuring Jordan Love.
At $21,970, he's extremely expensive, but few running backs offer comparable upside. The biggest challenge is finding enough salary relief elsewhere to accommodate him.
Aaron Jones $10,590
Aaron Jones offers a much cheaper alternative as Minnesota hosts Indianapolis. The Vikings enter as 6.5-point favourites, creating a potentially favourable game script for their running backs.
Jones remains capable of contributing through both rushing and receiving, providing several avenues to fantasy production. At $10,590, he's particularly attractive when compared with the premium options.
Minnesota's backfield does involve competition, with Jordan Mason also capable of handling significant work. That creates some uncertainty around Jones' ceiling. However, his price reflects that risk.
If Minnesota establishes control, Jones should have opportunities to contribute on the ground, while his receiving ability provides additional value.
He's an attractive RB2 selection for lineups featuring expensive receivers or a premium game stack.
Braelon Allen $8,000
Braelon Allen is one of the most interesting value selections on the slate, and one I will be waiting until Sunday morning to confirm in my squads, with Breece Hall a chance at returning.
With Hall sidelined by a quadriceps injury over the past three weeks, Allen has assumed a much larger role in the Jets backfield. He's responded impressively, averaging 84.3 rushing yards per game and 4.6 yards per carry during that period.
New York now hosts Miami, whose defence has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. That's an outstanding matchup for a player available at just $8,000.
The obvious complication is Hall's potential return. He's listed as questionable, and his availability could significantly reduce Allen's workload.
If Hall remains sidelined, Allen becomes one of the strongest value selections available.
Even if Hall returns, Allen could retain some involvement, although his fantasy ceiling would be considerably less secure.
RB Strategy
Gibbs is the premium option, but his salary makes roster construction difficult.
Jones and Allen offer considerably cheaper alternatives, allowing greater investment in passing-game stacks.
My suggested lineup uses both, although Allen's appeal is heavily dependent on Hall's availability.
Wide Receivers
Amon-Ra St. Brown $17,450
Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of my favourite wide receiver selections this week. Detroit hosts Green Bay in a matchup carrying a 53.5-point total, creating an outstanding environment for fantasy production.
St. Brown remains the focal point of the Lions' passing offense, combining substantial target volume with consistent receiving production.
His ability to generate fantasy points through receptions and yardage makes him particularly attractive in Draftstars scoring.
Green Bay's defence has improved over the last two weeks, but Detroit's collection of offensive weapons makes it difficult to focus exclusively on St. Brown.
At $17,450, he's reasonably priced relative to his potential ceiling. He's an obvious stacking partner for Jared Goff, but I particularly like him as a bring-back in lineups featuring Jordan Love and Matthew Golden/Christian Watson, or even Tucker Kraft.
If Packers v Lions becomes the expected shootout, St. Brown could produce one of the highest receiving scores on the slate.
Nico Collins $16,330
Nico Collins offers another excellent opportunity as Houston hosts the Giants. Collins remains C.J. Stroud's primary receiving weapon, combining substantial target potential with the ability to produce explosive gains.
Through six games, Collins has recorded 323 receiving yards and three touchdowns from 22 receptions.
That production highlights his ability to generate significant fantasy points without requiring enormous reception totals.
Houston is heavily favoured, creating opportunities for Collins to contribute to a substantial offensive performance. The concern is that the Texans could establish an early lead and reduce their passing volume.
However, Collins can deliver a strong score before that becomes an issue. At $16,330, he's an attractive alternative to the premium receivers from Detroit-Green Bay.
He can be paired with Stroud but also works as a standalone selection or alongside fellow Houston receiver Jaylin Noel.
Matthew Golden $13,870
Matthew Golden provides a more affordable route into the highest-total game on the slate.
Green Bay travels to Detroit, and the potential for an aggressive passing approach creates opportunities for the Packers' receiving group.
Golden offers the explosive-play ability required for tournament success. He doesn't necessarily need double-digit receptions to justify his salary. A handful of catches, including one significant gain or touchdown, could produce an excellent fantasy score.
At $13,870, Golden is considerably cheaper than St. Brown, making him an appealing stacking partner for Jordan Love.
The matchup also provides an opportunity for additional passing volume if Detroit establishes an early lead. Golden's target share can fluctuate, creating some risk, but that's acceptable in tournaments.
Pairing him with Love and bringing back St. Brown is the foundation of my suggested lineup.
WR Strategy
Packers v Lions is the obvious starting point, with Love-Golden-St. Brown providing an attractive three-player game stack.
Houston offers another opportunity through Stroud-Collins-Noel.
Rams v Raiders also deserves considerable attention, particularly through Stafford-Nacua or Stafford-Mumphfield, with Bowers or Tucker coming back.
The Raiders have conceded 36 points per game over their past three contests, creating an appealing opportunity for the Rams' passing offence.
Tight Ends
Tucker Kraft $10,490
Tucker Kraft is an appealing selection against Detroit, particularly in lineups featuring Jordan Love. The Packers tight end provides another route into the highest-total game on the slate.
Kraft's involvement in Green Bay's passing offense creates opportunities for receptions and touchdowns, making him an attractive tournament option.
At $10,490, he occupies a useful middle salary range. He's considerably cheaper than the elite tight ends but offers more established receiving potential than the minimum-priced alternatives.
Kraft can be paired with Love and Golden in an aggressive Green Bay stack, with St. Brown or Gibbs coming back from Detroit.
The challenge is salary allocation, particularly when attempting to accommodate multiple premium players.
Mason Taylor $5,000
Mason Taylor provides the minimum-priced alternative as the Jets host Miami. The rookie tight end offers inexpensive exposure to a favourable offensive matchup, with New York entering as a 4.5-point favourite.
At just $5,000, Taylor doesn't need a substantial performance to justify his selection. A handful of receptions could provide useful value, while a touchdown would make him an outstanding salary-saving option.
The concern is New York's likely offensive approach. With Miami struggling against opposing running backs, the Jets could lean heavily on their rushing attack, limiting opportunities for Taylor.
However, the minimum salary creates considerable flexibility elsewhere. Added to this, the Dolphins have struggled to stop opposition tight ends this season, giving Taylor a great chance here to shine.
In my suggested lineup, Taylor allows us to retain more expensive players at quarterback and wide receiver.
TE Strategy
Kraft is my preferred selection for Green Bay-focused stacks, while Taylor offers the salary relief required for premium roster constructions.
The suggested lineup uses Taylor, allowing additional investment in the Packers-Lions game stack.
Defence / Special Teams
Minnesota Vikings $6,800
Minnesota is my preferred premium defensive selection against Indianapolis. The Vikings enter as 6.5-point favourites at home, creating a potentially favourable environment for their defence.
If Minnesota establishes a lead, Indianapolis could be forced into obvious passing situations, increasing opportunities for sacks and turnovers.
The Vikings have been outstanding defensively this season, with their ability to pressure opposing quarterbacks creating significant fantasy upside.
At $6,800, the salary is substantial, but the matchup provides a realistic opportunity for a strong return.
They're particularly appealing in lineups where cheaper offensive selections have created sufficient salary flexibility.
Denver Broncos $6,080
Denver provides a slightly cheaper alternative as the Broncos travel to Arizona. The Broncos enter as 4.5-point favourites, creating opportunities to pressure the Cardinals' offense.
Denver's defensive front remains capable of generating sacks and turnovers, particularly when opponents are forced into aggressive passing situations.
Arizona possesses dangerous receiving weapons, so this isn't a risk-free matchup. However, at $6,080, Denver offers a useful balance between salary and potential production.
They're an attractive alternative for lineups where spending $6,800 on Minnesota would require sacrificing offensive upside.
D/ST Strategy
Minnesota is my preferred selection, while Denver provides a cheaper alternative.
The suggested lineup uses the Vikings, prioritising their defensive upside despite the relatively substantial salary.
Slate Strategy & Roster Construction
Three games stand out as the primary stacking targets for Week 7.
Packers-Lions carries the highest total at 53.5 points and forms the foundation of my suggested lineup.
Jordan Love is paired with Matthew Golden, while Amon-Ra St. Brown provides the Detroit bring-back.
Rams-Raiders is another excellent alternative. Stafford-Nacua or Stafford-Mumphfield can be paired with Bowers or Tucker, creating a game stack with significant upside.
Houston-Giants provides the third opportunity, particularly through Stroud and his receiving group.
My suggested lineup uses Nico Collins alongside Jaylin Noel, who produced four receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville last week.
At just $6,000, Noel offers inexpensive exposure to Houston's passing offence, and is the perfect FLEX option with huge upside and zero floor, hence his price.
There is some competition for targets between Collins and Noel, but both could deliver substantial scores if Stroud produces another strong passing performance.
The remaining selections focus on salary flexibility.
Aaron Jones and Braelon Allen provide affordable running back options, while Mason Taylor occupies the minimum-priced tight end position.
Minnesota completes the lineup as my preferred defensive selection.
The result is a team built around a Packers-Lions shootout, with additional exposure to Houston's passing offense and several inexpensive players capable of outperforming their salaries.

Final Thoughts
Week 7 presents several attractive stacking opportunities, but Packers-Lions is the obvious starting point.
Jordan Love, Matthew Golden and Amon-Ra St. Brown provide an appealing three-player combination in the highest-total game on the slate.
Houston also deserves attention, particularly through C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins and emerging receiver Jaylin Noel, with Nabers and Likely decent bring-back options.
Rams-Raiders offers another excellent alternative, with Stafford, Nacua and Mumphfield capable of exploiting a struggling Las Vegas defence.
The suggested lineup prioritises the Green Bay-Detroit game stack, while Jones, Allen, Taylor and Noel provide the salary flexibility required to make everything fit.
Allen's workload remains an important consideration, particularly with Breece Hall questionable.
Ultimately, the objective remains straightforward: identify the most attractive scoring environments, construct correlated lineups and find the inexpensive players capable of delivering tournament-winning value.
