NBA Playoffs Betting Tips: Monday, April 20th 2026
Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics (3am AEST)
The regular season series between these Eastern Conference rivals ended in a 2–2 deadlock. While Philadelphia took the first and third meetings, Boston asserted their dominance in the most recent encounter on March 1st with a 114–98 win at TD Garden. Boston enters the postseason as the most reliable team for bettors, boasting a league-leading 59.8% win rate Against the Spread (ATS). Philadelphia has historically struggled in the hostile environment of Boston, and given the Celtics' ability to cover double-digit lines at home, they are the statistical play here.
Boston Celtics -12.5

Phoenix Suns at Oklahoma City Thunder (5:30am AEST)
Oklahoma City finished the regular season with 64 wins, but they have been a frustrating team for bettors, posting a sub-50% ATS win rate. In contrast, the Suns have been reliable for backers, covering in 57.3% of their games. Although Phoenix won the final regular season game on April 12th, that result is disregarded as both sides rested their primary rotations. In the last full-strength battle in February, OKC cruised to a 136–109 victory. The Thunder won the season series 4–1, proving they have the speed to punish the Suns' veteran core.
OKC Thunder -14.0

Orlando Magic at Detroit Pistons (8:30am AEST)
Despite Detroit’s historic 60-win campaign, the Magic have proven to be their "bogey" team this season. Orlando leads the head-to-head series 3–2, including a dominant 123–107 win in their most recent meeting on April 6th. Detroit has a respectable 53.7% ATS win rate, but the Magic have been far more resilient as underdogs, winning the last two matchups against the Pistons by an average margin of 14 points. Orlando’s top-tier defence has consistently stifled Detroit's offensive flow, making this 8.5-point cushion look very generous for the visitors.
Orlando Magic +8.5

Portland Trail Blazers at San Antonio Spurs (11:00am AEST)
San Antonio has been a standout team for bettors this season, securing a 56.8% ATS win rate. The Spurs took the season series 2–1, winning the most recent encounter 112–101 at the Frost Bank Center on April 8th. While Portland claimed a five-point victory in January, the Spurs won the other two meetings, including a 115–102 victory in Portland, by double digits. San Antonio has been scorching hot to end the season, losing just four games since February. With home-court advantage and superior momentum, expect the Spurs to cover the line in Victor Wembanyama's postseason debut.
San Antonio Spurs -11.0
