Another Wednesday means some good midweek racing to get us over the hump. There’s meetings at Randwick-Kensington, Sandown and Doomben where we can hopefully find a few winners.
Billy Bestford has had a look across the three meetings and has found his best bets for the day.
Horse Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 1st
Randwick Race 1
(1) Money From The Sky was absolutely enormous on debut and we were on him that day. Lost no fans there and if anything, made me more keen to follow him this prep. I honestly think he’s a massive chance for the Spring Champion and hopefully can find a better spot in running today and let loose with that turn of foot he showed. Should be favourite.

Randwick Race 4
(3) Majella has been flying this prep and was unlucky not to finish closer last start. That was following a very good win in similar grade to this and is now ready to peak 4th up. She’s unbeaten in two 4th up runs previously. Rachel King hasn’t been in the best of form but she won’t get a better chance than here to break through.
Randwick Race 5
Think (9) Morioka looks well placed taking on the older horses today. She’s been looking airborne at the trials recently and while still a maiden, the stable clearly has a high opinion of her taking on this sort of race first up. Jmac booked and I think she’s got a bit more upside than a few of these.
Sandown Race 5
(12) Quintello gets well down in the weights as she rises in grade here and looks more than capable of making it a hat-trick of wins this prep. Looks suited rising to the mile for the first time and the win last start was that of a horse with plenty of talent. She’s got the X factor in a race full of horses who have hit their ceiling.
Sandown Race 9
(2) He’s The Real Deel just keeps on winning, and winning by big margins. Deadset loves these midweek Sandown meetings and Hefel can take him straight to the front and looks suited claiming 3kg here. She rode him a treat last start where he bolted in by 5L and the horse is airborne at the moment.
