Wednesday racing sees meetings at both Warwick Farm and Ballarat with some solid midweek races throughout the day.

Horse Racing Tips: Wednesday, April 28th
Warwick Farm Race 2
Was keen on (1) Billiondollarbaby on debut and she was impressive there, with a strong front-running win. Don’t see any reason to jump off her in what looks a race of similar standard. She beat home Port Louis that day who has since come out and run a very good 5th in the G1 Champagne Stakes after being backed off the map ($34-$5)!

Warwick Farm Race 4
(7) The Move looks one of the more interesting runners of the day as Tony Gollan brings this smart 4 year old down to Sydney for the first time. Has been running well up in QLD this prep and comes into this after a little freshen up and a very good trial win. Has the talent to win this and keen to see him back on top of the ground, where his best performances have come previously.
Warwick Farm Race 6
Cracking BM72 here and I’m going to stick with (3) Juan Diva again. Had plenty to offer last start at Hawkesbury before finding a fair bit of trouble in the straight. Ran a good 2nd behind Salina Dreaming before that and deserves a win this prep. Should enjoy every favour from gate 7 and should be nearing peak fitness now.
Ballarat Race 4
Thought (2) Gennady was a decent value play in this race after a very impressive fresh run since being gelded. Has performed well in similar races to this earlier in his career and now looks like he may be ready to go on with it. Came from a long way back last start and really let down strongly. The form behind him in that race has been good since and his best career performances have come 2nd up. Happy to have something on him EW.

Ballarat Race 7
(5) Smokin’ Romans is a good chance in the last. The last start win over Americain Angel is starting to look like very strong form. That horse has since started favourite in a strong Saturday BM78 running 3rd behind Brookspire and is now a live chance in the G1 SA Oaks. Probably needs a little luck from the wide draw but is in flying form and the $3.50+ looks appealing.
