Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, April 28th

April 28th 2020, 12:26pm, By: Mark Prezelj

DOTA2 and CS:GO take centre stage this Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning and we have you covered with a fresh slate of best bets below.

Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, April 28th

Nigma vs Ninjas in Pyjamas

DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1

Nigma are entering this bout following a closely-fought 2-1 win over OG.Seed, where the ex-Liquid roster left a lot to be desired. Although they came out victorious, this was their second consecutive iffy display of the tournament and I simply don't have high expectations for this team anymore. They might find their rhythm down the line, but looking at their recent performances, Nigma are not as solid as they look on the paper.

NiP (formerly Chicken Fighters) are coming into this match following a 2-1 win over OG.Seed and 2-0 win over Team Liquid, and will now look to keep their streak alive as they clash with Nigma for the second time this month. Their first meeting came at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, where NiP (while still playing under Chicken Fighters) came out ahead 2-1. Looking at these two rosters, Nigma look significantly stronger on paper, but as we have come to realise, their performances rarely reflect their individual quality. This match looks much closer than the odds suggest and while it won't be an easy one for NiP to win, they have all the tools needed to come out ahead here.

OG.Seed vs Alliance

DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1

This will be the first fixture of OG of the WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 and their first opponents will be Alliance, who already kneeled to OG back at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Europe Closed Qualifier and the betting odds suggest we might be in for another 2-0 win for OG here. Having said that, OG are entering this bout with Irakli "W1sh-" Peranidze, who is an unproven talent and while we don't know how well he will perform, it's safe to say OG are slightly weaker with him, as opposed to fielding Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen.

Alliance are coming into this bout following a 0-2 loss to Secret and 2-1 win over Liquid. Prior to that, Alliance had a somewhat iffy venture through ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, where they lost to Secret (0-2) Team Spirit (1-2), NiP (1-2) and Vikin.gg (1-2), but picked up wins over Chicken Fighters (2-1), NaVi (2-0), Unique (2-1) and Liquid (2-1). It's clear that Alliance are going through some struggles, but perhaps they should be capable of producing some resistance against OG here. I don't expect to see Alliance win this Tuesday, but since OG have an unproven stand-in, I will give Alliance the benefit of the doubt and trust them to keep this one close.

Dignitas vs fnatic

CS:GO ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe

Dignitas looked very bad in their first two fixtures against Heretics and NiP. Although they should have won against Heretics with relative ease, Dignitas managed to lose their lead on the second map and even lost the whole series (1-2)! To make the matters worse, Dignitas got completely stomped by NiP, who outclassed them with 9-16 on Train and 4-16 on Vertigo. Suffice to say, the morale in Dignitas is as low as it can get and that won't do them any good as they're set to face their compatriots. Fnatic started their Road to Rio campaign with shaky 2-0 lost against ENCE, but perhaps we should give them some slack as it was the opening match of the tournament. What's more fnatic entered the said match following a title-winning run, so perhaps they underestimated ENCE, which led to their demise. Fnatic, however, managed to bounce back with an impressive 2-1 win over Astralis in game two, where they reminded everyone they're one of the best teams in the world.

IN their last matchup Dignitas managed to push fnatic to three maps (1-2), but based on what we have seen from Dignitas recently, I have a hard time believing they can cause any problems to fnatic. Dignitas' morale should be very low, while fnatic's roster is bursting with confidence following their triumph over Astralis. Clean sweeps might be rare, but this one can't end any other way. Bet on fnatic to destoy Dignitas 2-0.
