Team Unique vs Team Empire
BTS Pro Series Season 3: Europe/CIS
Team Unique and Team Empire will meet for only the second time this year and the first time since Unique defeated (2-0) Empire a month ago during OMEGA League: EU Divine. Overall, Unique looked fairly decent this year, however, their showings at BTS Pro Series are somewhat lacking.
They already lost to Vikin.gg (0-2) and 5 men (0-2), and even though they defeated B8 (2-0), Unique did not look too convincing in that match. Having said that, I am even less impressed with what Empire are showing. Their 1-1 stalemate with Khan was not particularly bad, but we can't ignore Empire failed to defeat B8 (1-1).
Both teams look somewhat iffy, but there is no reason to have Unique priced at such high odds. They have defeated Empire before and unless Team Empire show significant improvement, Unique will do it again.
Vikin.gg vs mudgolems
BTS Pro Series Season 3: Europe/CIS
Vikin.gg and mudgolems are arguably two of the strongest teams at the tournament however, it's still fair to say that it's Vikin.gg who are slightly above their next opponents.
The only reason why mudgolems are a team that should not be ignored is the individual quality they have, but we can't forget that this is not a proper team, but rather a stack of players who came together to play at BTS Pro Series. This comes with its own issues, mainly the lack of synergy.
Vikin.gg, on the other side, are a team that has been together for almost a year and have during that time not only strengthened their synergy but also improved both individually and as a team. This tournament, Vikin.gg already swept the likes of Unique, B8, 5men and Team Empire, so they’re clearly in good form.
Besides that, Vikin.gg have before subdued some of the strongest teams in the scene and while we can expect a close affair with mudgolems, it's Vikin.gg who should win this one without any real problems.
5men vs Khan
BTS Pro Series Season 3: Europe/CIS
Similarly to mudgolems, 5men is a stack of players rather than a proper team and even though that brings the same issues, I don't see how Khan will manage to take advantage of that.
Khan are a decent team, but they're not nearly as good as some of the top dogs at BTS Pro Series. So far, Khan managed stalemates against mudgolems, Empire and Ninjas in Pyjamas, which are all decent results, but they're not exactly good nor promising.
A lot will have to go wrong for 5men to lose here and even though there is a slim chance we might see a draw, we cannot ignore the odds offered on 5men. Bet on 5men to win!
Neon Esports vs Motivade.Trust Gaming
BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia
Neon Esports met with Motivade.Trust Gaming seven times in 2020 and won five series. Their most recent clash took place during LUMO Cup in August, where Neon narrowly came out ahead with 2-1, which is more or less how most of their recent matches played out.
Since Neon are historically a better team in these meetings, it is not too shocking to see them priced as the favourites, but looking at how these two sides performed so far this tournament, there is a reason to believe this match will be much closer than what the odds suggest.
Neon won only one match out of five and even that came against NEW Esports on Monday. Other than that, they lost to BOOM Esports, TNC Predator and drew with 496 Gaming, as well as 032. Motivade.Trust Gaming, on the other end won against 496 Gaming, drew with NEW Esports and Execration and lost to Among Us.
Both teams are showing similar form and since Neon failed to defeat NEW and 496 Gaming, I don't see how they will manage to defeat Motivade.Trust. Bet on Motivade.Trust to win at least one map!
