Dragons vs Knights Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 10 2026
One to forget
It’s been a long week off for the Dragons following their 62-16 drubbing by the Roosters on ANZAC Day. Despite starting with some promise, they were woeful the longer the game went. Conceding 11 tries in 80 minutes, the less said about that performance the better. The game was all but over at HT as they trailed 34-4. In the end, they completed at just 68% with 46%, made 8.1m per carry, had just 373 PCM’s, and created only 2 line breaks. It was well below the NRL standard, and Young has his work cut out for him turning this club around head of this contest.
Brilliant in attack but questions remain defensively
Despite a dazzling 42-38 victory over the Rabbitohs at home, the Knights must head into this match knowing that they can be better. The 7-try display which saw them lead 28-10 at HT was nearly overturned late in the contest; had a few things not gone their way, they would’ve been on the wrong side of the scoreline. Thankfully, they weren’t as the victory masked their shortcomings; with 52% possession they completed at just 67%. There are positives too in the 9.4m per carry, 9 line breaks, and just 21 missed tackles. The framework is there for this team to be successful; it is a matter of them producing a consistent 80-minute display for this to become a habit.
Stats that matter
- The home team has won 3 out of the past 4 matches between these two sides. At this ground, the Dragons have a 60% strike rate, but the Knights will like their chances with a 50% winning rate.
- 2 of the past 5 games have been decided by 9 points or less, with the average margin of victory in that time sitting at 13.6 points. 2 20-point victory sways the stats. They have been relatively low scoring matches though, with the highest total in the past 5 games being 44 points, with the average sitting at 36.4 points.
- It is no surprise to see the Knights performing better than their opponents in 2026 on both sides of the ball. They score 25ppg in attack but allow 29ppg defensively. While that is poor, it is superior to the Dragons who score just 14ppg in attack and conceded 33ppg defensively.
Their best chance yet
Despite being winless to start the year, this is the best chance the Dragons have had recently of capturing a win. On top of having a superior record at this ground, they are coming off a week off which should allow them to work on combinations to be successful. The Knights are not the complete team either; recording spirited victories, they must still improve, especially defensively. The Dragons do not have the capability to match them for 80 minutes and will need to take the chances presented to them should they have the desire to cause an upset. The return of Gutherson adds stability to their spine; perhaps, the decision should be made to play him at 5/8 to allow Sloan a spot in the starting side. The Knights are unchanged and should only improve on last week. With plenty of points in them and the Dragons struggling in that area, expect the Knights to cover the line and, after being made to work hard, capture victory at the end of 80 minutes.

Dragons vs Knights Same Game Multi
Leg 1 = Total points under 53.5 – see above for justification.
Leg 2 = Ponga to score – back with a bang last week, he was at his dangerous best. Ponga has scored in each of his past 3 games against the Dragons and the signs are that he will again be dangerous from anywhere on the field.
Leg 3 = Marzhew to score – coming off a hat trick last week, he will again be threat on the edge. Knowing how to finish when it matters, Marzhew also has 2 tries in his past 3 games against the Dragons.
