New York Jets @ New England Patriots
Two of the teams that really " got away with one" in Week 1 of the NFL. The Jets Rookie QB got shoved out of bounds late in the 4th which resulted in a penalty. Jets kicked the field goal and won the game . With 4 seconds left in the Buffalo - New England game the Patriots also kicked a field goal to win by a point.
Two teams in the NFL with alot of question marks.
Jets Rookie QB Geno Smith looked okay but they only played Tampa Bay and without the late penalty they might have lost that game. He completed 24 passes against the Bucs, he wont complete that many against Balichick's Patriot Defense.
The Patriots Offense is Depleted. Gronkowski is Doubtful as is WR Amendoloa. Running Back Shane Vereen is out. There's still one guy playing that can pick apart any defense in the NFL. Tom Brady brings out the best in rookies and New England Bat very deep down the order.
New England win this game. But will they cover the chalk?
Even with all New England's injuries VEGAS has the line set at 11.5. It feels like a trap to force action on the Jets side. There's alot of excitment in New York because they are 1-0 with a QB they believe is their Saviour. Im sorry Jets Fans he's not.
Jets Coach Rex Ryan joked he would punch Coach Balichick in the middle of the field to fire up his team. The joke will be on Rex as the Patriot's Defense crush the Jets therefore giving Tom Brady all the time in the world to get acquainted with his rookie recievers.
