AFL Daily Fantasy Tips 2026: Round 15 Dockers vs Cats

June 17th 2026, 11:16pm, By: Jesse Penfold

AFL Fantasy Tips

Round 15 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season gets underway this Thursday night with another huge daily fantasy contest on offer from Draftstars with over $50,000 in guaranteed prize money in their main daily fantasy tournament.

This is the marquee single-game slate of the round and the storylines are rich. Fremantle arrive on a stunning 12-game winning streak, sitting top of the ladder with a 12-1 record and averaging 110.8 points across their last five games while conceding just 63.4 — comfortably the best defensive unit in the competition. Geelong, however, hold a psychological edge having won the last three meetings against the Dockers, including a barnstorming comeback victory at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 that remains Fremantle's only loss of the season. The Dockers are 21.5-point favourites at home.

Teams have been confirmed and there is one selection change that completely reshapes this slate. Bailey Smith is out for Geelong with illness — a massive late blow that removes the best individual fantasy asset in the competition from the contest and opens a significant centre bounce attendance vacancy in the Cats' midfield. Someone in the Geelong engine room is about to inherit a meaningful chunk of extra CBA minutes and that uplift is the single biggest fantasy storyline of the game. For Fremantle, Caleb Serong, Matthew Johnson and Brennan Cox are all confirmed in, giving the Dockers their best available side. Jack Bowes comes into the Geelong side. The one note of caution on the Fremantle side is that Serong profiles as a likely tag target for Oisin Mullin, who has shown willingness to play a defensive midfield role for the Cats this season — his scores tend to be modest when deployed as a tagger, so Serong's ceiling could be capped if Geelong opt to use Mullin specifically to curb his influence rather than as a free-running midfielder in his own right.

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 15 Fremantle vs Geelong

AFL Fantasy Round 15 Thursday: Where to Attack?

No shock that this is one of the toughest matchups to break down that you will get this season. Both teams are in the top 4 and as a result give up some of the fewest fantasy points in the league. Fremantle, specifically, are the hardest team in the league to score against and they give up the fewest in the league to inside midifelers and below average scores to every position on the ground (with ruck, and the backline being extremely stingey). Roster Cats players at your own risk.

Geelong are not much better. They are giving up the second fewest points in the league to inside midfielders, so the battle will be very tough in that area of the ground. The only areas they concede above average scores are the ruck where they are giving up the second most in the league, and half back and designated kickers, which will set up some strong Fremantle stack plays.

Game Script – Fremantle backs, ruck and forwards. Split the middle

AFL Fantasy Round 15 Thursday – Our Value Fantasy Picks

Jack Bowes ($9,880) is the confirmed Geelong inclusion this week and could potentially slot into the CBAs given Bailey Smith's late withdrawal. He has posted 93, 50, 65, 86 and 82 in his last five for a last-three average of 81 points, and with a vacancy now open in Geelong's midfield rotation he is a genuine chance to see expanded centre bounce attendance in his return game. His Optus Stadium venue history of 65, 74, 86, 97 and 49 shows three scores of 74 or higher at this exact ground. At $9,880 for a confirmed inclusion stepping into a depleted Geelong midfield, he is one of the more straightforward value plays on the slate. If you would like to go even cheaper I would look at George Stevens ($6,590). On a single game slate and at near the minimum price he opens up a number of options in your lineup. Coming off a 47 last week against the Suns, that is a score the wouldn’t kill you in a single game slate, and he has great form at VFL level as a midfielder posting over 100 points in five of his last six games.

Josh Treacy ($10,860) is in outstanding form heading into Thursday night and the game script makes him one of the most attractive forwards on the slate. His last five scores of 84, 98, 116, 61 and 87 give him a last-three average of 99.3 — a run that confirms he is firing as one of Fremantle's most dangerous forward targets right now. His Optus Stadium venue history of 116, 87, 58, 46 and 120 shows two scores above 115 at this exact ground, and with Fremantle's three-pronged attack alongside Patrick Voss and Jye Amiss developing into one of the most dangerous forward setups in the competition, Treacy's marking and goal-kicking output is well supported structurally. Fremantle are almost four goal favourites at home and with the Dockers on a 12-game winning streak and expected to control the bulk of this contest, the inside-50 volume and scoreboard pressure should flow his way all night.

AFL Fantasy Round 15 Thursday – Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks

Jordan Clark ($12,320) is the mid-price lock for those building around Fremantle's dominant home form. He has posted 72, 82, 70, 76 and 66 in his last five for a last-three average of 74.7, with his season-high of 151 confirming a genuinely elite ceiling when given full licence to run. His opponent scores against Geelong read 69, 81 and 126 — that 126 the ceiling reference and a score that puts him among the highest-scoring defenders in the competition this season. His Optus Stadium venue history of 70, 66, 85, 117 and 98 averages 87.2 across five home appearances at this exact ground. Geelong have been giving up above average to designated kickers and wings, and Clark's hybrid role touches both — at $12,320 for a player averaging 87+ at this venue with a 126 ceiling against this exact opponent, he is one of the clearest plays on the slate.

AFL Fantasy Round 15 Thursday – Our Premium Fantasy Picks

Luke Jackson ($16,380) is the standout ruck premium of the slate on individual quality and venue history. The standout indicator, however, is the team data where the Cats are giving over 12 points above league average to the position.  Jackson has posted 95, 72, 93, 70 and 128 in his last five, with that 128 a dominant recent performance. His opponent scores against Geelong read 93, 128 and 76, and his Optus Stadium venue history of 93, 128, 135, 103 and 81 averages 108 across five home appearances — an outstanding record at this exact ground. His individual ceiling and home-ground dominance make him an elite play regardless of the broader matchup direction.

Max Holmes ($15,630) has been one of the most consistent fantasy performers in the competition across 2026 and his case here is strong despite the tough overall Fremantle defensive numbers. He has posted 114, 110, 88, 110 and 91 in his last five for a last-three average of 104, with his season-high of 146 confirming an elite ceiling. His opponent scores against Fremantle read 132, 106 and 77 — that 132 a standout performance in this exact matchup. Fremantle have been conceding above average to wings and general defenders, the two positions Holmes occupies in his hybrid role, and even against the competition's best defence, his volume of touches typically holds up. At $15,630 he is a premium-adjacent mid-price play with a track record of going big against this exact opponent.
