NBL Round 14 Betting Tips
Cairns Taipans vs Brisbane Bullets
Friday, 7:30pm AEDT
The Taipans were winners in both of their Round 13 games and come into this weekend in equal third spot as a result. Machado and Oliver continue to provide a lethal one-two punch on offence and when they’re on song they’re very hard to beat. The Bullets split their two Round 13 games with a loss against the Breakers and a win over United. They come into this in second last spot on the ladder but are only two games outside the top four. For us, we just can’t go past the form of the Taipans at home. They’re 7-3 in Cairns this season and should be too good here.

Illawarra Hawks vs Melbourne United
Saturday, 5:30pm AEDT
The Hawks were impressive in their win against the league leading Kings last time out. They hung in there all game before throwing the knockout punch late in the fourth to claim their best win of the season. On the other hand, United were losers in both of their Round 13 games and will be keen to produce a much better performance this weekend. We expect the Hawks to be as competitive as ever at home here, however, we have United being a touch too classy and grinding out a narrow win.
Melbourne United 1-10

Sydney Kings vs Adelaide 36ers
Saturday, 8:00pm AEDT
The Kings certainly didn’t finish 2019 the way they’d have liked, losing both of their Round 13 games. Slip ups to second placed Perth Wildcats means the Kings still remain top of the table. Adelaide 36ers kicked off Round 13 with a loss to the Breakers, however, the quickly bounced back to defeat the Wildcats and notch up win #9 on the season, which has them in fifth in the standings. Although the Kings were poor last round, you can expect a big response from them to start the new year. We expect them to be the aggressors in this matchup and get a rather comfortable win.
SE Melbourne Phoenix vs NZ Breakers
Sunday, 3:00pm AEDT
Phoenix were comfortable winners against the Hawks last weekend before succumbing to the Taipans second half rampage in their second game. That takes their season record to 9-10 and has them in sixth spot in the standings. The Breakers were the most impressive team to end 2019, reeling off four wins on the spin. Scotty Hopson’s return to the line-up instantly made the Breakers are genuine threat to win any given game and we expect this to be one of those. They have the better team when at full tilt and should be the favourites to win this matchup.
Brisbane Bullets vs Perth Wildcats
Sunday, 5:00pm AEDT
The Bullets second game of Round 14 will be back on their home deck against the Wildcats. The Bullets have won five of their eight home games so far and will be looking to improve on that here. On the other hand, the Wildcats will play their lone Round 14 game when they travel to Brisbane. The Wildcats split their two Round 13 games and will be hoping to continue their dominance on the road this campaign. They’ve won 7/11 away games, which is the best mark in the league, and we expect them to add to that with a close win against a Bullets team that struggles for consistency.
Adelaide 36ers vs Illawarra Hawks
Monday, 7:30pm AEDT
The 36ers will feature for the second time in Round 14 when they host the Hawks on Monday night. The Sixers have only managed to secure five wins from their nine home games to date but get a chance to improve on that when they host the worst team in the league. The Hawks have only won twice on the road from nine attempts this season and without a bunch of their key players, we expect the 36ers to score an easy win to close out the round.
