NBA Betting Tips Tuesday February 25th
New York Knicks @ Houston Rockets

The Knicks were always going to struggle this season, but they’ve probably been a little less crappy than we all expected. They’ve managed to win 17 games and have a better record than four other teams in the competition. The Knicks have also been pretty competitive of late, particularly on the road where they’ve won four of their past six games and both of their losses have been by just five points.
The Rockets made one of the most intriguing moves this season when they shipped away their only decent centre in Clint Capela. They’ve doubled down on their small ball approach and it’s actually been pretty effective so far. The Rockets come into this having won three in a row and seven of their past nine games to climb into fourth spot in the West standings.
The Rockets are the far better team in this matchup and their chances of winning are only increased by being on their home deck. However, the Knicks have been pretty competitive over the past month or so and are more than capable of keeping this close enough to either cover the spread comfortably or get a backdoor cover.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Dallas Mavericks

The Timberwolves were unable to match it with the Nuggets on Monday, which made it four losses in a row and 17 from their last 18. Interestingly, the only win they’ve had during this 18 game run was against the contending Clippers by a whopping 25 points – go figure. It’s pretty obvious that the Timberwolves are going to be in tank mode for the rest of the season and will likely give Towns and Russell ample rest along the way.
The Mavericks were disappointing last time out against the Hawks, losing by four points on the road. The Mavs were without both their first and second option at the point guard spot, which certainly hurt their flow on offence. They’ll now be hoping to get back on the winners list to avoid slipping further down the seeds in the West.
The Mavericks are a much better team than the Timberwolves and also have a lot more to play for in the second half of the season. Even with a few injury concerns to key players, it’s hard to see this game ending in any other way than a very easy win for the home side.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Clippers

The Grizzlies have been one of the great surprise packets this season and are in the box seat to clinch the eighth and final playoff spot in the stacked Western Conference. Ja Morant has been a revelation and will end up as the runaway ROTY, despite the excellent play of Zion Williamson. Last time out the Grizzlies were losers against the Lakers on the road, but they were far from disgraced.
The Clippers continue to baffle us all with their inconsistent play and come into this on a three game losing streak. They’ve now lost a bunch of games to far lesser opponents this season, which could cost them a top four spot in the West. The Clippers are currently in third spot, but are just 3.5 games ahead of seventh.
The Clippers are certainly the better team in this matchup, but their form doesn’t make them a lock to win this clash. The Grizzlies are always looking to tick over the win column and if they can bring their best effort, then they’re a good chance to cover the big spread.
