2019-20 NBA Betting Tips: Thursday 6th December

December 4th 2019, 7:45pm, By: Jake Smit

There’s a big 10-game slate in the NBA this Thursday, the 6th of December with plenty of exciting games on the card. Action kicks off from 11am AEDT and as always, we have our best betting tips for you right here. Good luck to everyone following our plays!

NBA Betting Tips Thursday December 6th

Golden State Warriors @ Charlotte Hornets (11am AEDT)

This will be the Warriors fourth game of their current road trip that has resulted in only losses so far to take their road record to 2-11. Last time out they were handed a beatdown by the lowly Hawks on the back of Trae Young’s 24 effortless points. The Warriors currently sit in last place in the West at 4-18 on the season.

The Hornets will be playing their second consecutive game in front of their home fans after hosting the Suns last time out. They were very unlucky to lose that one after leading by seven points with around a minute to play. That loss took their home record to 4-6 and their overall record to 8-14, which is actually a couple of wins better than most expected at this stage of the season.

This game certainly won’t go down in history, at least not for the right reasons, however, we do see some value in the Hornets here. The Warriors have been terrible on the road this season and won’t find it any easier here against a Hornets team that’s full of run. We see the home side winning this pretty comfortably.

Charlotte Hornets -4

$1.91

Phoenix Suns @ Orlando Magic (11am AEDT)

The Suns coughed up a 20-point lead last time out against the Hornets, but managed to fight back to record a narrow victory thanks to some late game heroics from Kelly Oubre Jr. That win keeps the Suns in eighth spot in the stacked Western Conference, which is perhaps the biggest surprise in the current standings.

The Magic will be playing their second game of a back-to-back when they host the Suns on Thursday. They outclassed the Wizards 127-120 on Wednesday on the back of some great play from Markelle Fultz with 20 points (career high) and six assists. The Magic now return home where they are 7-4 on the season.

Although the Magic are on the second night of a back-to-back, we’re keen to back them in at home against the Suns who have been very inconsistent of late. The Suns have been plagued by niggling injuries to key players and will find it tough to handle this Magic outfit that loves to attack the basket. We have the Magic winning this as slight underdogs.

Orlando Magic

$2.01

Los Angeles Lakers @ Utah Jazz (1pm AEDT)

The Lakers will be on their second night of a back-to-back when they travel to Utah to take on the Jazz. On Wednesday the Lakers were too good for the Nuggets at altitude, fending them off to record a great nine-point win. The Lakers have been the most consistent team in the association this season and currently lead all comers with their impressive 18-3 record.

The Jazz have put in a couple of indifferent performances in a row and will be glad to be back on their home deck after a five-game road trip (1-4). Last time out they fell to Joel Embiid and the Sixers, which took their road record to 4-8. Fortunately for them, they’re back home now for a couple of games where they’ve only been beaten once this campaign.

The Lakers are the form team of the two and have the greater talent, but it’s always an extremely difficult task playing the second night of a road back-to-back after playing at altitude in Denver the night before. On the other hand, the Jazz haven’t been great of late but are now back on their home deck where they’re 8-1 and we feel they can get the job done against the Lakers.

Utah Jazz -2.5

$1.91
