NBA action continues on Saturday with a huge 10 game slate. There are plenty of fantastic matchups on the cards, which should make for another excellent day of entertainment. As always, we preview our best betting tips from some of those great matchups and wish you all the best of luck if following!
NBA Betting Tips Saturday March 7th
Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards
11:10am AEDT
The Hawks come into this off a heavy loss at home to the Grizzlies (127-88), which was probably their worst performance of the season. It was really an interesting result after such a strong couple of games coming into that and will really test their mentality in this game against the Wizards. It’s no secret that the Hawks are going to be picking in the lottery again this season after a really tough campaign.
The Wizards are also coming off a big loss last time out (125-104 vs Portland). That was their second loss in a row after a big win on the road against the Warriors three starts back. As tough as the season has been for the Wizards, they’ve actually fared pretty well with the talent at their disposal and are just 4.5 games back from the eighth seed with 21 games to play.
The Hawks were absolutely crushed by a .500 team in the Grizzlies in their most recent game and we don’t see how they bounce back here against a Wizards team that has been pretty tough to beat at home (14-15) considering their lack of talent. We’re keen to back Beal and the Wizards in to get the job done against the Hawks.

Utah Jazz @ Boston Celtics
12:10pm AEDT
The Jazz were winner’s last start against the Knicks (112-104), which made it three straight wins for their ball club. This run has come after they lost four in a row in a stretch that had everyone scratching their heads. The Jazz are now 39-22 on the season and are still a lot of people’s dark horses in the upcoming playoffs.
The Celtics have been a strong force since the start of the season and ticked over the win column again last game against the Cavaliers (112-106). That win snapped a mini two game losing streak, both of which came in overtime. The Celtics have rarely had all of their stars on the court together this season, but have still managed to accumulate the third best record in the East (42-19).
Although the Jazz have won three on the spin, all of their wins were against sub-par Eastern Conference teams. We still aren’t convinced that they’re back on the right path and will be siding with the home side as a result. The Celtics rarely lose when they start as favourites and we believe this will be another example of that.
Boston Celtics -2.5

Miami Heat @ New Orleans Pelicans
12:10pm AEDT
The Heat were three point winners in their most recent game against the Magic (116-113), which wasn’t their most convincing of performances on their home deck this season where they have a formidable record (27-4). That win was their fourth in a row and has taken their record to 40-22, which currently has them sitting in fourth spot in the East standings.
The Pelicans are one of many clubs vying for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West and despite their obvious need for wins; they come into this on a three game losing streak. Last time out they were four point losers in overtime against the Mavericks (127-123), which was one they certainly let slip. Despite their current streak, the Pelicans are still only five games behind the Grizzlies in eighth and are still a very realistic chance of making the playoffs if they can build some great momentum to finish the regular season.
The Heat certainly have the better form coming into this game, however, their road record (13-18) is extremely poor for a playoff team, which will give the Pelicans great confidence in this matchup. We’re happy to back in Zion and the Pelicans to get back on the winners list in a must-win occasion.
New Orleans Pelicans -1.5
