Midweek racing heads to Wyong on Wednesday for an eight-race card. The first is set to jump at 1:25pm AEDT and the last at 5:30pm. Current conditions are set for a Good track, but watch and monitor as always!

Wyong Racing Tips - Wednesday November 29th 2023
Race 1: Mercure Kooindah Waters Plate Class 1 2100m - 1:25pm AEDT
(4) – UNCLE HARRY ($1.85) – 3YO colt who has been racing well of late and has only missed the trifecta once from his last 4 races. Last start took on open grade and hit the line strongly late and appeared that he wanted/needed further. He gets that now and a drop in grade back to C1 level. Draws pole position and should be able to sit a little closer. Hoping for that strong turn of foot to hit the line and hopefully salute.
(8) – LASKARINA ($4.20) – 4YO mare who has been backed early by punters. Had been racing very ordinary, but has showed promise over the 2000m trip. Gets out to 2100m which looks ideal. Peak fitness now and can play a role over this trip.

Race 4: Respect Super Maiden Plate 1200m - 3:10pm AEDT
(5) – VOMO ISLAND ($2.00) – 3YO gelding who goes third up today and gets back to provincial level. Only 5L behind the winner ENCAP last start in open grade. This looks much easier and due to break his maiden. Placed over this distance on both occasions and should be rock hard fit after 2 runs and a trial. Goes well.
(1) – CHIEF WITNESS ($5.50) – 3YO gelding who had a solid debut and can only improve off that. Extra 100m this time round which should assist. Goes well.
(5) Vomo Island

Race 7: Dimension One Glass Fencing BM64 1100m - 4:55pm AEDT
(10) – CRITICAL TIME ($16/$4.20) – 5YO who flew home last start for second at this track/distance and grade. Only gains an extra half a kilo off that run.Second up this time round, so should strip fitter and sole win comes from a second up run. Likes the good track and this distance. Worth thought at big odds here. Goes well.
(8) – MISTY LEGEND ($2.70) – 3YO gelding who resumes and has had some early market support. Has had two trials which were both solid and had a solid campaign last time he was racing. May need further than 1100m for my liking, but watch the market.
