Midweek racing heads back to Wyong for a seven-race card on Wednesday. The feature of the day is the Magic Millions 3yo & 4yo stakes race which is race 4 on the card. The first is set to jump at 1:45pm (AEDT) and the last at 5:15pm. Current conditions are set for a GOOD track, but watch and monitor. All selections based on a GOOD/SOFT track and are made at 10am on the 12th of December 2023.

Race 2: Price Excavations BM64 2100m at 2:20pm AEDT
*SCRATCHED* (5) COMMANDER BELL ($18/$6.5) – 8YO veteran who let down very well last start over 1900m to salute comfortably. Up in distance now and is 1 from 1 over the trip. Draws well and looks over the odds here. Prefer some rain which will boost confidence, but still keen on a small play at big odds.
(1) SCARLET PRINCE ($2.40) – 5YO gelding who was narrowly beaten at Randwick in his latest run. Gets a big drop in grade now, but will need to carry an extra 5kg off the last outing. Easier company though and expected to remain favourite and be the one to beat. Goes well.
Race 3: Gold Coast Yearling Sale BM64 1600m at 2:55pm AEDT
(2) RITZYTWENTIES ($2.80) – 3YO who was narrowly beaten at BONG BONG last start carrying 66.6kg. Prior to that won a class 1 at Goulburn. Fourth up now and should be rock hard fit to tackle the mile. Draws an okay alley and has been well supported early in the market. Top pick out of this stable and looks the one to beat.
(2) RITZYTWENTIES – Win

Race 4: Magic Millions Wyong 3yo & 4yo Stakes 1200m at 3:30pm AEDT
(6) ROYAL MERCHANT ($1.80) – 4YO mare who is clearly the best horse among the others in this stakes race. She has been racing well against some classy horses in open grade and deserves to be favourite against this lot. Comes in off a handy trial win and will be rock hard fit for this outing. Proven over this trip and gets COLLETT in the saddle which builds confidence. Hard to beat here.

Race 7: PBL Law Group Midway BM64 1100m at 5:15pm AEDT
(13) MAGIC STATEMENT ($31/$6.50) – Roughie of the day chance here. 5yo who blitzed his opposition in his maiden and then struggled in this grade for his next two runs, but last start showed promise again in this grade where he only finished 1.7L off the winner. Hoping for a soft track, but at odds I think he is ready to play another key role here. Small each way play.
