Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, July 30th 2025

Race 4: 2026 Inglis Yearling Sales Series – BM72 – 1600m - 2:35pm (AEST)

(2) Kapakiri $9.50/$2.60: 5YO Gelding who made a sound return to racing, finishing midfield over 1400m in this grade and beaten less than a length in a blanket finish. It was an encouraging effort first-up, suggesting he’s come back in good order. Strips fitter now and is open to sharp improvement second-up. The rise in trip suits and the 2kg claim brings him in well at the weights. Profiles as a sneaky value play here and wouldn’t surprise to see him right in the finish.

(4) Pink Shalala $4.80: 4YO Gelding who has been an absolute cat of late, but continues to run genuine races. He just struggles to win. Rock hard fit and is deserving of another win. Handles the wet and will again be around the mark.

(5) Tazima $2.50: 4YO Gelding who ran on nicely first up and only missed out by half a length. Looks to be a genuine type and will be improving second up. Gets a confidence boost with J-Mac jumping in for Waller and draws a lovely alley. 1600m looks okay and his sole win comes from a second up run and on the soft deck. Goes well.

(2) Kapakiri E/W

$9.50/$2.60 (0.5/1.5 Units)

Race 5: Tab BM72 - 2200m – 3:10pm (AEST)

(1) Naval Commission $6.00: 5YO Gelding who has been freshened up for this after having several sound efforts. He has a solid record at this track and is 1 from 1 over this track/trip. He relishes the wet track, so any further downgrade will suit. Already been spec’d in the market, so has to be a contender. Chance.

(2) Rise To It $6.00: 5YO Gelding who drops back to midweek racing after competing at Randwick and Rosehill against Saturday company. He looks suited here with the 2kg claim and the low draw. Keep safe.

(8) Hovland $4.40: 3YOI Gelding who has been ticking along nicely this campaign and looks ready to peak. He was dominant two starts back at Hawkesbury, putting his rivals away impressively over 1800m on a rain-affected track. Followed that up with a solid effort last time out at Canterbury on a heavy surface, holding his ground well in testing conditions. The step up to 2200m now looks ideal for this progressive stayer, and he comes into this rock-hard fit. Proven in the wet, which is a key asset here, and the booking of James McDonald is a significant push—he goes on for the first time. The wide draw is the obvious query, but if he can find a spot early, expect him to be strong through the line. One to keep very safe.

(8) Hovland WIN

$4.40 (1.5 Units)

Race 7: Traffic Warden @ Darley BM72 – 1300m - 4:20pm (AEST)

(10) Golden Straand $2.90: 3YO Colt who has a rather impressive record with the 1 win and 2 seconds from his 3 career starts. Rock hard fit now and remains on the soft track where he has been racing well. Draws nicely and will be around the mark once again. Deserving favourite.

(11) Tartana $46.00/$10.00: 5YO Mare who resumes today and looks well placed to fire fresh. The last time she contested this grade and trip, it was here at this very track—and she saluted with authority, scoring by a length second-up. She returns to that same setup today, and thanks to the 2kg claim, she carries the same winning weight. Maps beautifully from a soft draw and has an excellent first-up record, making her a genuine threat fresh. She also thrives in the conditions, boasting a 50% strike rate on soft ground. If you're willing to overlook her two forgivable runs to close out last prep, she shapes as a major player—and appears well over the odds.

(13) The Replicant $4.00: 6YO Gelding who is on the quick back up after being well supported last start and rattling home for third. Slightly out in trip which suits and has a handy record on the wet track. Yet to miss the placings from all four tries at this track/trip. Early market support adds confidence. Major player.

(11) Tartana E/W

$46/$10 (0.5/1.5 Units)
