Sha Tin tonight will be welcomed by many after Happy Valley was missed this week due to the races at Royal Ascot taking precedence. A few group 3’s on the card make it interesting as do the runners listed below as top selections for the meeting.
Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday June 25th
Race 1: Ruby Hcp C4 - 1400m (18:00 AEST)
(7) Karma was in the market on debut in January where he was unable to make any impression and finished 11th. He returns after some time off and has produced solid trial performances in his lead-up.
(2) Compassion Spirit won over this t/d the last time he was in class 4. Zac Purton takes the ride and maps well from gate 3. 61kg is the only query but didn’t stop this horse last time in this grade.
(13) Trust Me is finally drawn well again but wasn’t able to capitalise on that last time he had a low draw. Maybe he can this time as he’s still been running well from unfavourable positions.
(7) Karma e/w

Race 5: Racing Club 15th Anniv C4 - 2000m (20:00 AEST)
(9) Super Hong Kong has been low flying of late and looks set to run well here over 2000m from a favourable draw. Karis Teetan should enjoy a soft run aboard this horse and look to capitalise in the straight.
(6) Sharpen Bright had no room to move last time when 9th. It’s difficult to know how much more the horse had to give and where he would’ve finished with more room but he is very short here for having only produced 2 average performances on paper to date.
(8) Billionaire Secret will need to produce something special to win from gate 13 but he’s consistent and should be in the top few finishers regardless.
(9) Super Hong Kong e/w

Race 9: Lapis Lazuli Hcp C3 - 1200m (22:10 AEST)
(6) Helios Express looks extremely promising. He’s drawn gate 1 after launching to the line last time on local debut for a photo finish 2nd placing. He will go one better here and win with Zac Purton aboard.
(2) Dragon’s Luck has done nothing wrong up until running 9th last time and was a noted bleeder. Forgive that run and he’s an exceptional chance here.
(4) Naboo Legend is a horse who is yet to reach his potential and put it all together but should find some wins once he manages to do so.
