Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday January 28th
Centenary Sprint day today and the lineup of races is impressive. Here are my best tips for the day along with a few other chances in the main races i chose to focus on. Lucky Sweynesse will be hard to beat in the feature!
Race 3: On Ting Hcp (C4) - 1200m (16:00 AEST)
(4) Phoenix Light is a nice price here. The favourite is very short and this horse should get a decent run under Hugh Bowman from a middle alley.
(2) Second To None is very short here as mentioned. He’s the top hope in the race but is asking to be taken on at such short odds.
(13) The Good Deal is a great price here. He’s up in class 4 where he typically finds it harder but is drawn nicely with Karis Teetan aboard so is one for minors and exotics.

Race 6: On Ting Hcp (C4) - 1200m (17:35 AEST)
(6) Telecom Dragon should win this race. He’s well drawn with Hugh Bowman in the saddle and is in great form at the moment.
(7) Patch Of Theta has run 3rd twice now and looks slightly overpriced here. Karis Teetan is aboard and I expect him to get the most out of this horse today.
(2) Super Legends is a danger hence his price in the market. The claim will also help him so he’s one to watch out for.
(6) Telecom Dragon win

Race 7: Tai Hing Hcp (C3) - 1200m (18:05 AEST)
(9) Gorgeous Win is optimally placed here to win again. Zac Purton would have to do a lot wrong here to lost from gate 3 aboard the clear best horse in the race. Solid pick.
(4) Enterprise Attack won on debut in Hong Kong and flopped his next start. Returns here and could be a big threat from the inside draw with the record he has.
(11) Eighty Light Years is a last-start winner so has to be respected. The wide draw presents a few obstacles to winning here but he’s some chance.
