A rare Saturday meeting in Hong Kong has come up with quite a decent card ahead. We’re anticipating a few rough results throughout the day but have identified a few shorter runners which should perform well. Good luck if you’re getting involved.

Race 4
(4) Owner’s Praise absolutely demolished his rivals in the concluding stages of his last start. Fast Buck and Hero Icon were among the close finishers behind him but he should have them covered again this time. Drawn well and a nice price.
(7) D Star was slightly hampered at the final stages of his last start. He probably wouldn’t have won but he did go well there and can go well again this time.
(10) Hero Icon comes out of the same race as Owner’s Praise last start and went well enough to be considered here.
(4) Owner’s Praise - Win

(1) The Golden Scenery is in well here after running 3rd to Lucky Sweynesse 3 starts ago and performing well in his 2 starts since. Angus Chung takes 4.5kg off the horses’ back which puts him right into contention here.
(3) Circuit Stellar got the job done last time but was able to lead relatively comfortably and may not get such an easy time of it again here. Comes up against a strong field and might just be too short in this market.
(9) Amazing Victory was very impressive running 2nd last time and can repeat that performance here to get into the finish. I’ve got a few ahead of him on ability but anything can happen on race day.

(8) Smiling Collector looks a fairly obvious selection here. The field looks relatively weak and Smiling Collector was very strong through the line last time out indicating he’s ready to win and can do so this time from a good gate.
(6) Run Run Buddy needs to overcome a wide draw here but hasn’t done much wrong in his short career. He should be able to handle the big weight provided he doesn’t get posted wide and forced to work too hard mid-race.
(7) Wide Blue Yonder can run well here but has been mixing his form too much of late for me to have too much confidence today.
