Race 5
(3) Lucky Gold looks good to go back-to-back here. He’s drawn well and the favourite is drawn the outside barrier which is a similar story to the last time they met. Lucky Gold should settle in a comfortable position just off the pace and be ready to pounce in the straight.
(10) Red Hare King is the biggest threat here given his barrier draw and inexperience. Horses in their first few races are open to significant improvement as they begin to settle in to the racing scene. If Red Hare King improves here he’s a big chance.
(7) War Weapon is a threat here after closing off strongly last time behind Lucky Gold, but he’ll have to repeat that performance after drawing gate 14 today. It’s always difficult to win with a setup of this nature so he can’t be favourite in this race.
(3) Lucky Gold - Each Way

(7) Turquoise Alpha ran well last start from a wide draw closing off strongly in the dying stages up the inside. He’s drawn far better this time so should settle much closer early. If he produces a similar finish from a closer settling position, he’ll win this race.
(8) Palace Pal wasn’t bad last start and actually beat home the current favourite. He’s drawn a much better barrier than Gold Tack here too so could present as some value over the favourite.
(5) Gold Tack is the favourite but not a strong one in this race. The wide draw isn’t ideal for the horse and he wasn’t very convincing last start.
(7) Turquoise Alpha - Each Way

Race 8
(9) Hyper Dragon Ball has impressed in recent starts missing the kick 2 starts ago and closing off strongly down the outside for 6th before running a solid 2nd when working around the field last time out. Drawn gate 1 today with Zac Purton aboard he looks as though he’ll be tough to beat.
(5) Happy Daily is a consistent performer in this company but is drawn wide today. If he was drawn inside today he’d be a solid play but the risk is whether he can find a spot and save his energy from that wide gate.
(3) Erimo has fallen off slightly in recent efforts but can quickly bounce back to form with a good gate today. He maps to get run of the race which should help him tremendously.
(9) Hyper Dragon Ball - Win
