Sandown Racing Tips

Sandown Hillside hosts midweek racing this week and it's a match race in the first race by the looks of it with two favourites $2.45 apiece. The first starts at 12:25pm (AEST) and runners will be running on Soft6 track. The first leg of the quaddie starts at 2:45pm (AEST) and that will be race five on the program.

Brendan Bunworth brings you his three Sandown best bets for the day as well as his Quaddie selections, with odds thanks to Ladbrokes. And if you’re after more free tips for this week's key meetings, then head over to our Racing Tips!

Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday, July 30th 2025

Race 2: MRC Membership Feel The Thrill Handicap - 1pm (AEST)

(2) Matriarch Rose plugged away to the line at Flemington last start to run 5th (caught wide) and she remains at the mile here at Hillside. She likes the distance and the key is that she has won over this track&distance before. Jaylah Kennedy stays on and she has won twice on the Danny O’Sullivan trained mare. Drops in class here and this looks a suitable race for her.

(5) Brave Miss has won 3 from 8 starts on Soft tracks and Jamie Mott has never missed a top 3 finish when on top. Has won over the mile before but needs to prove herself in midweek class. Is due too because she hasn’t won in over 12 months.

(1) Igotcha is out of form but drops in grade here. The blinkers go on and she is proven on wet ground. Had a wide barrier last time (10) and gets in a few positions with drawing 7 here.

(2) Matriarch Rose WIN

$3.60 (2 Units)

Race 4: ive Handicap - 2:10pm (AEST)

(11) Dubai Dancer likes damp tracks and she gets another one here in a winter where that hasn’t been the norm. She will likely go forward in this and she almost led all of the way at this track last start over the 1400m. The Dabernig team has decided to stick with the same track&distance she gets a good draw to go to the front with barrier 3. Is second up from a small break and she goes well in her second run in.

(4) Boltsaver has drawn wide in 10 but will likely get back anyway. Ran on well last start at this track and if the Dancer goes too quick in front Boltsaver can run over the top.

(10) Rip ‘N’ Rip won on the Heavy at Bendigo last start and he will want rain on the day which is unlikely. Will settle handy and may get the run of the race.

(11) Dubai Dancer Each-Way

$6.00/$1.95 (1 Unit)

Race 8: Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap - 4:30pm (AEST)

(17) Zakouma will be fitter now and he has shown that he likes Soft tracks by winning at Geelong on June 5. That was over 1700m and he ran on well on that occasion. Jordan Childs goes back on and Zakouma will be close to 100 percent fitness now. Is the second emergency but with one scratching already at the time of analysing, he should get a run.

(9) Ruakaka Raider was near last on the turn and ran on very well for 3rd at this track last start. In saying that he was still beaten a fair margin of 3.5L and with his racing pattern he is goig to be at his best to win. Risky favourite.

(6) Corona Lad was unlucky last start but he ran a very good 2nd at Morphettville before that. Likes Soft tracks and he did have this barrier (11) at Morphetville two starts back so he can handle wide draws.

(17) Zakouma Each-Way

$6.00/$1.95 (1 Unit)
