Rosehill Gardens hosts a 10 race card on Saturday with the Kia Lord Mayors Cup over 2000m in race 8 being the feature. The first race commences at 11:00am AEST and the last concludes at 4:20pm AEST. The rail is true and conditions are set to be HEAVY, but fine weather predicted, so may see an upgrade. Watch and monitor.

Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, May 31st 2025
Race 5: Toyota Forklifts BM72 - 1100m – 1:20pm (AEST)
(1) Lulumon $13.00/$3.60: Roughie of the race who looks nicely rated with Bouke claiming 2kg on top. Winner first up over 1000m in BM78 grade. Terrific second up record and relishes on the wet track. If she can overcome the wide draw she has to be considered here.
(4) Codetta $9.50/$2.90: Resuming 3YO Filly who strung together a few handy runs last campaign. Proven first up winner and goes really well on the weather effected tracks. Gets in light with a 3kg claim. Value.
(13) Ellipis $4.20: The favourite of the race who has already gone $7 into $4.20 in the early market. She already has a nice little resume with 2 wins and a second from 4 starts. Will be improving again for this and gets the nice draw in barrier 1. The one to catch.
(1) Lulumon E/W
$13.00/$3.60 (1U/2U)
Race 8: Kia Lord Mayors Cup - 2000m – 3:05pm (AEST)
(1) Major Beel $5.50: 5YO Gelding who looks primed for 2000m for this third up run. He has been inching closer the further he gets and should be ready to fire. Expecting him to ping the lids and dictate this race and being on the heavy deck. Will be hard to run down on the heavy track. Hyeronimus stays on for watrhouse & bott.
(5) Glory Days $5.50: 6YO Gelding who won over this trip last start on the heavy deck at $41.00. Draws well and loves the wet. 3 x winner over 2000m, has to be considered. Keep safe.
(9) Private Legacy $5.00: Rock hard fit 4YO mare who destroyed her rivals over this trip in SA last start. She looks rock hard fit and ready to tackle this. Prefer her on the dry track, but needs to be considered off last starts performance.
(1) Major Beel
$5.50 (1 Unit)
Race 9: Captivant@ Kia Ora BM78 - 1800m - 3:40pm (AEST)
(4) Seafall $10.00/$3.40: 4YO Mare who has been kind to us in the past where we tipped her twice in a row for a collect at healthy odds. She returned to her best last start winning comfortably over the mile lugging 60kg. Gets out to 1800m now third up where she is unbeaten both over the trip and when third up. Goes well on the wet. Only downfall is the wide gate. Blow out hope.
(7) Kind Words $7.00/$2.50: 4YO Mare who looks well placed to go one better in this event after her enormous effort last start where she flew home up the fence after being held up and only naorrwly went down. Slick sectionals matched the impressive watch. She gets the extra 100m now and with a little more luck this time out she goes close here. Watch for her late.
(17) Misterkipchoge $7.50/$2.60: 4YO Gelding who has been sound all campaign, but is just struggling to notch that second win up against his name. Terrific to the line most recently and remains at 55kg again. Chance again. Heavy towards place bet.
(7) Kind Words E/W
$7.00/$2.50 (1U/2U)
BET: 1 Unit Win / 2 Unit Place – Kind Words
