Race 5: Doyle's Breeding And Racing (Bm78) – 1400m (14:40 AEDT)
(10) Chase My Crown is a great candidate for this race having run a solid 3rd placing behind Lekvarte who she meets 2.5kg better at the weights and is still a similar price to the one she went around last start.
(2) Shadows Of Love may be able to win this race if she crosses from the wide gate. It’s not a risk I’m willing to take at the short price but there aren’t many more talented runners than her in this race.
(1) Lekvarte has the same form as the top pick and won that race. Tommy Berry is racing well and the horse could definitely win again if she can handle the 61.5kg she has to carry.
(10) Chase My Crown - E/W

Race 9: Listed Christmas Cup – 2400m (17:20 AEDT)
(1) Sky Lab is not being let out of my sight just yet. He’s been building up to something lately and could find an elusive win here as favourite in what looks a good race for him.
(2) Serpentine led for a long way in the Melbourne Cup and is the first horse to race since. Quite surprising given most horses out of that race are spelled. Must be going well to be racing so soon after such a big race.
(9) Little Mix only goes in as she’s looking for a hat trick now. She’s been good but in weaker races and has to handle the trip from Melbourne to Sydney in between races.

Race 10: Buy An Arrowfield Graduate (Bm78) – 1100m (17:55 AEDT)
(9) Smashing Eagle could almost be undefeated this prep. How horrible for connections if he fails to win yet again. I’m banking on him getting the breaks as I have been all prep.
(12) Dollar Magic is in a rich vein of form which could carry her to victory here from a good gate. She’s in a similar predicament having not won but placed in all her runs this prep.
(3) Sebonack settles nicely behind the speed here from gate 5. He’ll be hard to beat if he gets a clear passage towards the inside rail late in the race.
