New South Wales will host a seven-race card back in the city this week with two maidens, a BM64 and once again the last four races will be BM72’s with a few nice horses going round. The track is expected to be of good condition, therefore selections based on that.

Randwick Racing Tips – Wednesday, July 5th 2023
Race 3: Ole Kirk @ Vinery Stud BM64 1300m – 2:00pm (AEST)
(1) Demitasse – 3YO gelding who has a terrific resume to his name. Very consistent. Tipped him last start along with the winner STROMBUS who was super strong late to pick this fella up and win. That was in tougher grade, so gets a class drop here, but will have to lug the weight, however Zac LLOYD in the saddle gives us some relief and he will be rock hard fit fourth up and be hard to beat here.
(5) Venelope – 3YO filly who is resuming here after only two starts. Draws a nice gate but would like to see her a few more times before having a bet. Should go okay.
(1) Demitasse – Win

Race 4: Furphy BM72 1300m – 2:35pm (AEST)
(6) Anagain – Tipped this 4YO mare two back where she just missed where it was a four way go at the end. Went up in grade after that and wasn’t disgraced, but needs the class drop which she gets here. Expect her to be storming home late after getting a nice transit with some luck required. Goes well.
(10) Principessa – Another one we tipped last start but failed to salute. Has a nice record with finishing in the trifecta more often than not, but just struggles to win. Meets ALLASANDRA again here, but gets a 4.5kg weight swing in favor, so expect improvement and will give this a shake.
(5) Allasandra – Favourite of the race and won well last start against similar company. Gets extra weight this time round which she will need to overcome to win.
(6) Anagain – Win

Race 7: TAB 1000m - 4:20pm (AEST)
(4) Passeggiata – 3YO filly who boast an impressive record with 3 wins from 4 starts. Unbeaten over this trip. Won well in town last start in a tougher grade. Drops in class here, but lugs an extra 6kg. Will need to jump well from gate 9 and then will take catching. Goes well again.
(8) Pinnace – Narrowly beaten in Vic last start against a smart horse. Third up today and will be fit with a proven win third up. Jockey/trainer combo can’t be dismissed either. Goes well at an each way price.
(4) Passeggiata - Win
