Another huge race day is upon us in Sydney as punters are greeted with a 10-race card at Randwick this Saturday. It’s a tough card but there are a few strong chances at short odds who should be hard to beat. Good weather is expected, and the track should be drying up from a Soft 7 throughout the day.

Race 5: Group 2 Arrowfield 3yo Sprint - 1200m (13:30 AEST)
(1) Ozzmosis gets a 2nd chance here. He bombed the start last time and gave himself no hope but can make amends here with a good draw.
(6) Schwarz was good last time and gets barrier 1 here with Jmac in the saddle. No reason he can’t run well again.
(4) Corniche will be back in the field from the wide draw but is the horse I’d be expecting to run on strongly if anything makes ground from the rear.

Race 9: Group 1 Grainshaker Vodka Queen Of The Turf - 1600m (16:35 AEST)
(2) Zougotcha is drawn perfectly going for 3 in a row here. She’s a top hope and my on top selection.
(1) Atishu was good at Flemington last start. Looked all over the winner halfway down the straight but didn’t extend.
(14) Tropical Squall gets a good draw this time and rolls forward. No reason she can’t be right in this at the end.

Race 10: Cincotta Chemist Sapphire Stakes - 1200m (17:10 AEST)
(1) Red Card is another going for 3 in a row. She can lead here from the wide gate and if she does, should get a good time of it. Hard to catch.
(4) Tashi was unlucky not to win last start and can run well here again. Gate 11 might pose some problems but with some luck she’s right in this.
(2) C’est Magique is a talent who hasn’t exactly found her full capabilities consistently as yet. If she does, she’s a huge chance.
