North Melbourne vs Fremantle Prediction & Betting Tips: AFL 2026 Round 13

Dockers Setting the Standard

Fremantle's rise from finals hopeful to genuine premiership favourite has been built on an elite defensive foundation, but what makes them so dangerous in 2026 is the balance they've found between attack and defence.

Last week's 25-point win over Brisbane at the Gabba was arguably their most impressive performance of the season. The Dockers led by 51 points before easing off late, with Josh Treacy, Jye Amiss and Patrick Voss combining for 11 goals in another dominant display from the league's most potent tall forward combination.

Even with injuries mounting, Fremantle continue to find contributors across the ground. Murphy Reid has become an important midfield piece, while Shai Bolton, Andrew Brayshaw and Luke Jackson continue to drive the side forward. Eleven straight wins has them looking every bit the premiership favourite.

Roos Showing Signs of Progress

North Melbourne's ladder position doesn't fully reflect the improvement they've shown throughout 2026. While consistency remains an issue, there have been genuine signs of growth under Alastair Clarkson.

Their dramatic comeback victory over Gold Coast before the bye showcased that progress, overcoming a 43-point deficit with Luke Davies-Uniacke, Harry Sheezel and Jy Simpkin leading the charge in one of the club's greatest wins in recent memory.

The challenge is whether they can replicate that against the competition's benchmark side. North have still struggled against the AFL's heavyweights this season, and a defence conceding 96.6 points per game will face a significant test against Fremantle's in-form forward line.

Roos or Dockers? Here’s our Best Bet!

North Melbourne have unquestionably improved this season and deserve credit for the progress they've made under Clarkson. Their comeback win over Gold Coast highlighted the growing belief within the playing group and showed they won't simply roll over when games get difficult.

But Fremantle are operating at a different level right now. The Dockers have won 11 consecutive matches, are defending as well as anyone in the competition and have developed multiple avenues to goal. North still tends to struggle when faced with the competition's elite sides, and I think this shapes similarly to their heavy defeat against Adelaide a few weeks ago.

North Melbourne vs Fremantle Prop Bet

The emergence of Fremantle's third tall has been one of the stories of the season. While opposition defences naturally focus on Josh Treacy and Jye Amiss, Patrick Voss continues to find himself in favourable matchups and has been making teams pay.

North Melbourne's defence lacks both size and depth, which creates another excellent opportunity for Voss to get involved. He's kicked 5, 3 and 4 goals in his last three matches and enters this contest in career-best form.

Murphy Reid 20+ Disposals | Caleb Daniel 20+ Disposals | Harry Sheezel 25+ Disposals

Murphy Reid has become one of Fremantle's most reliable accumulators, recording 20 or more disposals in five consecutive matches while averaging 24.6 across that stretch. His role continues to grow within the Dockers midfield rotation.

Caleb Daniel has quietly found excellent consistency for North Melbourne, reaching 20+ disposals in four of his last five games and averaging 24.2 for the season. His ball use and decision-making remain crucial for the Roos coming out of defence.

Harry Sheezel remains one of the safest disposal plays in the competition. The young star is averaging 30.5 disposals per game this season and comes off another 32-touch performance against Gold Coast before the bye. Even if Fremantle controls the contest, Sheezel should still find plenty of opportunities to rack up possessions.
