Rosehill Gardens hosts a competitive 10-race program on Saturday as Sydney racing moves beyond the spring carnival and towards summer. The Listed Golden Gift, Group 3 Five Diamonds and Group 2 Danish Stakes headline the card, with plenty of interest in the supporting races.
The rail is in the true position throughout, with conditions expected to be in the Good-to-Soft range and fine weather forecast. The opening race is scheduled for 12:25pm AEDT, with the last at 6:05pm. Track conditions should be monitored closer to the first race.
We have focused on three races where the betting opportunities look most appealing, including a strong selection in the final event and two value plays in the Five Diamonds. Check out our Rosehill racing tips below!

Race 3 – Ranvet BM78 – 2400m (1:35pm AEDT)
(1) Medatsu – 6YO Gelding who has been racing soundly up until last start when tackling listed grade. First up wasn’t all that far away behind the talented Anthracite. Next start was beaten less than a length behind Pinhole / Starzintheireyez. Third up tackled 2000m and was less than half a length off the finishing behind Cavalry Man. Form lines have been sound. Drops back in grade now and the extra trip should suit. Drawn well and Siena Grimes claims 2kg and rides for Waller. Genuine hope.
(2) Savisanta – 4YO Gelding who improved when stepping out to 2400m and looks primed now fifth run back. Ran 5th in the Group 1 SA Derby to close out last prep. Gets his chance here. Drawn well and Tommy Berry rides.
(3) Savvy Spy – 4YO Gelding who has been outstanding over 2000m winning his last two and both impressively. He is rock hard fit now, gets conditions to suit and looks a genuine staying type with upside. Chasing a hatrick. Major player

Race 8 – Five Diamonds (Group 3) – 1800m (4:50pm AEDT)
(2) Tuxedo – 5YO gelding who heads across the ditch for his Australian Debut and brings some handy Kiwi form with him along with Opie Bosson for the one ride. His last two runs have been at Group 1 level and has only been beaten by the very talented kiwi in Waitak. Draws well and looks every chance on his Kiwi form. At the current quote he looks a lovely each way play and worth a dabble.
(3) Evaporate – 5YO Gelding who has had genuine excuses in each of his past three outings, but his first two runs this preparation were very good. Resumed with a solid third in the PB Lawrence behind COSMIC CRUSADER and PRIVATE EYE, before bouncing back to dominate the So You Think Stakes second-up. Third-up he tackled the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke but pulled up lame. Two runs back in the Group 1 Toorak he was tightened for room and still finished off soundly in the inferior going, before most recently being caught wide throughout and never looked likely off that taxing run. Steps out to 1800m for the first time now and draws a much more favourable gate which he maps to roll forward and dictate terms. Nash Rawiller sticks with him, which is a positive, and he's certainly due a change of luck. Gets conditions to suit and his best form is good enough to be competitive here. Value play.
(8) Declichy Boulevard – 5YO mare who was dominant three back when we backed her winning easily over the mile at BM88 level. Jumped into Group 1 company next start and found it a touch out of reach as well as having minimal luck. Bounced back last start in open grade when well supported and Berry was swinging off her around the bend and she let down strongly to score. Major player

Race 10 – Kia Ora Bloodlines To Headlines BM78 – 1200m (6:05pm AEDT)
(2) Annies Rose – 6YO Mare who was good winning over 1100m in this grade two runs back and then tackled stakes grade and was out of her league. Unbeaten at this track prior to that run and goes very well on the soft track if the conditions remain. Rock hard fit and looks a nice roughie. Each way.
(9) Horseshoe Hill – 4YO Mare who looks to be probably the best bet on the program. First up run was sound in defeat when getting out a touch late, but savaged the line to finish 3rd and looked more a trial in my opinion. Strips fitter now and gets out to 1200m. Drawn pole position, Tommy Berry steers and gets condition to suit. The winner from her first up run has since gone out and won again, so formline is franked. Looks the one to beat and happy to have some on.
