Caulfield Heath gets a rare chance to host Saturday Racing at Melbourne this weekend with a nine race program. Some of the Spring fancies are resuming and despite the day being just a fair meeting, there are still winners to be found. The Ranvet Harrison Cup over 1800m is an interesting race with gallopers predicted to be running on a Soft7. Race one starts at 12:20pm (AEST)!
Our three best bets for Caulfield Heath are listed below. Good luck to everyone following along!

Caulfield Racing Tips: Saturday, August 8th 2026
Race 2: Ladbrokes Big Bets Copy Now Handicap 1500m - 12:55pm (AEST).
(11) Celtics is down in class here and has been runner-up his latest couple so you would think he is a big winning chance for Price and Kent Jnr. He has raced at Caulfield his last couple and has run on very well over 1400m so the extra 100m looks ideal. Before those efforts he got too far back at Sale and finished 4th but beaten less than 2L.Placed in both starts on Soft tracks.
(6) Botanical Boy has drawn well in barrier 2 and despite never being in the placings when second up he also has a powerful finish on him. Trialled up well for a win at Mornington on June 17.
(4) Stay Silent led all of the way at Sandown last start but is up in class. Does race well on SOft tracks though and has to be respected. Will want a slow run race.
(11) Celtics - WIN
$2.50 (3 units)
Race 4: Drummond Golf Handicap 1600m - 2:05pm (AEST)
(2) Davida has drawn wide in 11 but is fully fit now after four runs in this prep. She has been hit and miss at the start of late but if she can jump well from out there she may get over and sit outside the leader for Blake Shinn. WIth a good jockey on she has to carry a big weight of 60.5kg but she did carry 2kg less and won at Morphetville three starts back.
(6) Jenni Multabella stormed home and won at Sandown Hillside by 1.5L on July 22 but this is harder. LIkes rain-affected tracks and will want Soft7 or Heavy.
(10) Street Lark is down in class and is consistent. The $2.20 on offer for a Place looks the way to go as she has run either 2nd or 3rd five times in 13 starts. Gets the claim with Pozman on and should get a good on-pace run from barrier 2.
(2) Davida Each-Way
$5.50/$2.10 (1 Unit)
Race 9: Ladbrokes Mega Multi Handicap 1500m - 5:05pm (AEST)
(8) Changing Colours is the hot fav in the last and the mae has drawn well with barrier 2. Lucy Yeomans has got her flying and has put Shinn on top. Over the mile at Flemington last start she sat midfield before letting down for an easy win. This is harder but she is reliable and last time when she was third up she ran on very well in a hard race at Rosehill. Might settle closer here but might need an ounce of luck down the home straight. Is 1 from 1 over the track and distance.
(5) Flying Valley is the danger that has has drawn next to the top pick. Is fitter now and his Soft track form is sound. Has only won 5 from 38 which is the concern so a Place bet might be best.
(2) Eloyou has been racing well without winning and is looking at the Heath for the first time. Has been in the money 14 of 20 starts and likes wet tracks. If it rains on Saturday then the $10.00 on offer will reduce.
(8) Changing Colours - WIN
$2.00 (4 Units)
