Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday June 20th 2026

June 19th 2026, 2:33pm, By: Brendan Bunworth

Flemington Racing Tips

Flemington is the venue for Saturday racing this week and a nine race program awaits punters. I’m not going to lie, it's just a moderate program on offer but winners are still to be found and with the track back to Soft, it gives those horses that don’t like bog tracks a winning hope. There are a few large fields too which has provided some value in the tips. The David Bourke is the feature race and that comes up in race eight of the program. Our three best bets of the day are below and with the possibility of showers during the day, punters will have to monitor track conditions and race patterns. Let's get stuck into our best bets!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, June 6th 2026

Race 5: Country Achiever Cindy Alderson 1400m - 2:10pm (AEST)

(3) Madero has drawn well in barrier 2 and despite having not won in a while he has a good record on Soft tracks. He trialled up well last week (3rd) and his first up form is very good. He is in a leading stable (Hayes) and he was competitive enough in Group races during the Spring. Good each-way play.

(14) Thebelmontgangster likes rain-affected ground he won with Jamie Mott on last start at Hillside on a Heavy9. Before that effort at Lakeside he was beaten a nose. One of the main chances again.

(6) Angland is a roughie who has drawn wide. Gets a chance as long as the track isn’t rated as Heavy.

(3) Madero Each-Way

$9.00/$2.80 (1 unit)

Race 7: Brain Beattie Handicap 1100m - 3:25pm (AEST)

(6) De Bergerac hasn’t won in almost 9 months but has been supported on quite a few occasions and has run some quality races. The Grahame Begg trained gelding has won twice over the distance and the stable has tried him running on from the back of the field in his races and also sitting near the lead. From barrier 2 he may go forward again and he does drop 1.5kg for this after running 2nd behind Losesomewinmore last start.

(4) Losesomewinmore is the fav and is a very big chance as long as the track isn’t Heavy. Barrier 11 might suit up the straight and he has won on 3 occasions over this track&distance.

(1) Dragonstone is highly experienced and goes well when second up. He is a distance specialist and is over the odds at 18-1.

(6) De Bergerac WIn

$4.20 (2 units)

Race 8: The David Bourke 1600m - 4pm (AEST)

(5) Al Duca was unlucky last start at Bendigo in the Golden Mile when finishing near last and if the track stays in the Soft range he is a big show with Craig Williams on. Two starts back he had a wide barrier (12) when winning at Caulfield and he gets another wide draw here with 15. WIllow might try similar tactics and get him across and after a positive trial he will attract punters support. Has won 4 times over the 1600m but interestingly has drawn barriers in the double figure range in his last 4 runs.

(3) Saint George is back in form but is first up and he has never won when returning from a spell. Trials have just been fair and he doesn’t want any rain on raceday. Will want more distance in the months ahead and has been nominated for the Melbourne Cup.

(4) Punch Lane will want it to rain all day and he will want a track downgrade. He is 1 from 1 over the mile and he may be able to lead all of the way in this if he gets his own way out front.

(5) Al Duca WIN

$4.40 (1 unit)
