Rabbitohs vs Broncos Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 15 2026
A tough loss to stomach
It was always going to be a challenge for the Rabbitohs on the road against the Sea Eagles and down key players. While some returned to their team, they were still missing several stars. In a competitive first half, they only trailed 10-8 at HT and were competitive enough to suggest they could cause an upset. Unfortunately, with a couple of 50/50 calls going against them and improve execution from their opponents, they were unable to stay competitive in the match, eventually defeated 28-14. It was made even more challenging by their lack of possession (45%) and 77% completion rate. They made just 7.8m per carry, had 222 fewer PCM’s, and missed 37 tackles. They are a better team than those statistics suggest.
Ambushed and upset; something isn’t right
Questions grew louder about the harmony and overall drive within the Broncos team following a shock 28-23 home loss to the Titans. Appearing to dominate majority of the contest, the Broncos failed to close out the contest when it mattered most as they struggled to turn their positives into points. This makes for tough reading when you consider they had 52% possession, completed at 84%, ran for 9.6m per carry, made 692 PCM’s, and had 8 line breaks. It leaves many wondering if there are underlying issues at this club which are impacting their performance within a year of them winning the Premiership.
Stats that matter
- The Rabbitohs have a superior record at this ground, winning 57% of matches here compared to the Broncos 46%.
- The average margin of victory in the past 5 matches between these two sides is high at 18 points. Interestingly, 3 games have been decided by 10 points or less, but it is swayed by a 46-point Broncos victory last year. The average total points in the same time is 49.2 points.
- It is no surprise to see the Rabbitohs ranked higher than the Broncos on both sides of the ball in 2026. They score an average of 28ppg compared to the Broncos 21ppg, while conceding just 24ppg compared to the Broncos 26ppg.
Look at who remains, not who is absent
It is easy to get caught up in the players missing from this contest. Both teams have a host of stars out of this contest due to injury and representative selection. The key is not who is missing, but the depth of each team in covering the losses and how that will impact their game. For the Rabbitohs, having their spine of Gray, Walker, Ward, and Smith present is a huge bonus. The Broncos are not afforded the same quality. Capable centre replacement, Duncan, also offers stability on the edge, while Hubner ties the middle together. The Rabbitohs also have a strong bench with multiple options. The Broncos shift Perham to fullback, while Verhoeven starts at centre. Perhaps their biggest downfall is in their pack. Willison, Riki, and Gosiewski have their work cut out for them combatting the powerful Rabbitohs pack. The home team appears capable of lifting and despite the Broncos sitting on the verge of a 6-game losing streak, their performances suggest they are void of the confidence required to overcome the challenging circumstances ahead of them. Expect the incoming players of both teams to lift to prove their worth but ultimately, the Rabbitohs should be too strong, possessing consistent attacking power to cover the line.

Rabbitohs vs Broncos Same Game Multi
Leg 1 = Total points under 50.5 – see above for justification.
Leg 2 = Johnston to score – despite missing out last week on a try, Johston still has 8 tries from his past 5 NRL matches. You cannot keep him out of the action for too long and returning to his home ground will boost his confidence further.
Leg 3 = Duncan to score – he has been at his damaging best for the Rabbitohs this year and despite not scoring in his past 4 games, Duncan will be a strong threat on the edge for his team. He possesses plenty of power too, making him an attacking threat close to the line.
