PGA Tour Truist Championship Betting Tips
Quail Hollow Club, Thursday 7th - Sunday 10th May
The Field
Rory McIlroy headlines the week as he returns to one of his favourite venues on the planet. The newly crowned back-to-back Masters champion owns four career wins at Quail Hollow and remains the last player to win this event when it was last contested here in 2024.
Cameron Young also arrives in blistering form after his dominant wire-to-wire win at the Cadillac Championship. He now owns two victories in 2026 and looks every bit like a player who has fully arrived among the game’s elite.
Elsewhere, Matt Fitzpatrick looks to continue a ridiculous run of form after winning his third event of the season, while defending champion Sepp Straka returns hoping to become the first player to successfully defend this title.
The Course
Quail Hollow Club is one of the sternest and most complete tests on the PGA TOUR calendar, stretching to 7,583 yards as a par 71 and demanding excellence from tee to green. It rewards power, but only when paired with precision.
The famed “Green Mile” closing stretch remains one of the most difficult three-hole finishes in golf, routinely wrecking scorecards and turning tournaments on their head late Sunday.
Fresh off recent renovations to tees, greens and bunkers, the course is in championship condition once again and should provide an ideal major-style test ahead of next week’s PGA Championship.
Top Picks
Rory McIlroy
You know things are going well when you can take a few weeks off after winning the Masters and return to a venue where you’ve won four times. McIlroy is the king of Quail Hollow and the clear man to beat.
Ludvig Åberg
Course history is minimal, but that has rarely mattered for the Swede. Åberg arrives with four top-five finishes in his last five starts and continues to look like one of the most complete players in the sport.
Value Picks
Si Woo Kim
Fresh off a T4 at Doral where he led the field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, Kim continues to stack strong performances. He also finished T8 here at the 2025 PGA Championship and looks well suited again.
Alex Smalley
The North Carolina resident is in the best form of his career, arriving off finishes of T21, T14, T2 and T7 in his last four starts. He knows this region well and has already posted a respectable T18 at Quail Hollow.
