AFL Daily Fantasy Tips 2026: Round 6 Sunday

April 18th 2026, 1:46pm, By: Jesse Penfold

AFL Fantasy Tips

Round 6 of the 2026 AFL Premiership Season will continue this Sunday another huge daily fantasy contest on offer from Draftstars with over $60,000 in guaranteed prize money in their main daily fantasy tournament.

Round Six wraps up on Sunday with a compelling three-game slate on offer, featuring North Melbourne vs Richmond at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne vs Brisbane at the MCG, and the Western Derby between West Coast and Fremantle at Optus Stadium.

The first game of the day at Marvel Stadium presents the first potential mismatch on this slate, with North Melbourne as 25.5-point favourites against a Richmond side that remains winless through five rounds and has been losing by an average of 57 points across their last four games. The Roos will be without Finn O'Sullivan through a jaw injury but are otherwise near full strength. The mid afternoon game at the MCG is headlined by major injury news from Melbourne, with Christian Salem, Jake Melksham and Trent Rivers all unavailable through injury — a significant blow given they are facing the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions. The Western Derby closes the slate at Optus Stadium with Fremantle installed as big 43.5-point favourates against West Coast. This stands out as a clear game stack option with such a heavy favourite despite the fact that the Eagles are welcoming back Elliot Yeo and the mature age recurit sensation Milan Murdock.

Draftstars are offering a number of different contests to suit your style, some of these include:

AFL $60,000+ Sunday

AFL $5,000+ Sunday High Roller ($150 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round Six – Sunday

AFL Fantasy Round Six – Sunday: Where to Attack?

Looking at the data from the first five games of the 2026 season gives us an initial picture of the best avenues to attack, but as always it is a small sample size at this point in the season so be sure to identify potential trends that go back into prior years.

In the North Melbourne vs Richmond game, the two most glaring angles come from Richmond's defensive structure. The Tigers have been giving up over 12 points above league average to opposition wings and attacking half backs, making North's running half backs a primary target. In addition, a over 4 points above average to the designated kicker position making North back stacks a great play. Further up the ground there are options as well with Richmond conceding a whopping 10 points above average to key forwards. On the other side, North Melbourne have been brutally difficult to score against across most positions only conceding above average points to rucks this season.

The Melbourne vs Brisbane game features arguably some of the most extreme fantasy scoring restrictions in the league. Brisbane have given up over 18 points below average to wings and half backs while also suppressing key forwards heavily at over 14 points below average, and inside midfielders at over 6 points. In short, be very wary about Melbourne players across the ground this week. The Demons have been giving up huge scores to designated kickers and half backs in 2026 making Lions backline a great play on the slate.

The Western Derby rounds out the slate with what might be the key matchup from a fantasy perspective. Let’s just start with the ruck where the Eagles have been giving up a unbelievable 24 points per game above league average this year and all signs points to Luke Jackson having a huge day. The Eagles have been quite exposed through the inside midfield this season as well, giving up over 4 points per game above league average, however they have been relatively tight across other positions.

Game Script – Fremantle ruck and midfielders, North Melbourne half backs and key forward

AFL Fantasy Round Six – Sunday: Our Value Fantasy Picks

Nick Larkey ($9,000) is an outstanding value play on this slate, and the matchup stands out with Richmond have been giving up big scores to key forwards over the last five games, the third highest to that position in the competition. In addition, North Melbourne are 25.5-point favourites and are expected to generate relentless forward entries all afternoon at Marvel Stadium. At $9,000 with an upside of 90-100 points as we already saw earlier this season against West Coast where he posted 93 points, this is a great value option. If you want to spend up a big more on this position in another game look to Josh Treacy ($11,970).

Cooper Trembath ($10,400) is one of the most compelling dual-role value plays on this entire Sunday slate. The 20-year-old has been pinch-hitting in North Melbourne's ruck rotation since Tristan Xerri's injury, sharing the hitout duties with Callum Coleman-Jones and generating a fantasy profile that blends forward scoring with ruck bonus points in a way that is almost impossible to find at this price point. His Round 4 Rising Star nomination came on the back of three goals and a backup ruck showing, and his last three scores of 84, 93 and 54 reflect the genuine scoring ceiling available when his forward and ruck roles combine in a dominant game script.

AFL Fantasy Round Six – Sunday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks

Murphy Reid ($11,990) is the standout mid-price play in any Fremantle stack on Sunday. The 2025 Rising Star winner has been attending 24% of Fremantle's centre bounces in 2026 — a massive uplift from just five all of last season — and is averaging 78 points across his last three games as his midfield evolution translates directly into fantasy output. West Coast have been giving up over 4 points above league average to inside midfielders over the last five games and in a game where Fremantle are big favourites at Optus Stadium, Reid's dual-threat profile of midfield accumulation and forward crumbing generates scoring from multiple avenues simultaneously. At under $12k with a confirmed expanded role in the best possible game script, he is a lock.

AFL Fantasy Round Six – Sunday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks

Luke Jackson ($15,940) is the most compelling situational premium on the slate this week given Sean Darcy's confirmed absence from Fremantle's lineup. Jackson is already one of the most dominant rucks in the competition and in 2026 has posted 131, 97 and 81 in his last three games including that extraordinary 131 last week. Without Darcy available, his ruck workload at centre bounces increases further, meaning his hitout count, clearances and ground-ball work should all be elevated above his already elite baseline. West Coast's ruck combination will not present much of a challenge given they have been conceding over 25 points per game above league average this season.

Caleb Serong ($16,030) is the premier premium lock on this slate. He has posted 85, 124 and 124 in his last three games for an average of 111 points and operates as Fremantle's primary CBA attendee in a side that is expected to dominate Sunday's Western Derby as big favourites at Optus Stadium. The critical daily fantasy angle is straightforward — West Coast do not apply a tag to opposition midfielders, meaning Serong runs completely free through the centre all afternoon with no defensive attention whatsoever. In a dominant game script with zero defensive concern, his ceiling is elite. Lock and load.
