Australia vs India 3rd T20 Preview & Betting Tips
Hobart, Sunday 2nd November, 7.15pm AEDT
Australia
Squad: Mitchell Marsh (c), Tim Davis, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Owen, Josh Philippe, Matthew Short, Sean Abbott, Marcus Stoinis, Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Matthew Kuhnemann, Tanveer Sangha
Australia’s Game 2 performance was as convincing as it gets. After choosing to bowl, they ripped through India for just 125 in 18.4 overs, led by Josh Hazlewood’s superb spell of 3 for 13 that set the tone from the outset. With the bat, Mitch Marsh hammered 46 off 26 and Travis Head added 28 as they chased the total with 40 balls to spare, never looking troubled for a moment.
They remain without Adam Zampa for the start of the series, with Matthew Kuhnemann continuing to fill the spin role for the Aussies. With the fast-bowling trio of Nathan Ellis, Xavier Bartlett and Sean Abbott supporting Hazlewood, Australia will again look to assert pressure early and ride the momentum generated by that dominant Game 2 outing.
India
Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, Abhishek Sharma, Shivam Dube, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar PatelTilak Varma, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy
India’s batting stumbled in Game 2 despite a brilliant lone hand from Abhishek Sharma, who smashed 68 off 37 balls to keep the innings afloat. The rest of the top order struggled to build partnerships, resulting in a below-par total that left the bowlers little margin for error. The attack also found it tough going, unable to slow Australia’s front-foot batting approach as the chase proved straightforward.
They still boast enormous talent and balance, with Suryakumar Yadav leading a group full of match-winners. The formula is simple heading into Game 3: take early wickets to halt Australia’s momentum and ensure a stronger platform with the bat to avoid chasing the game again.

Match Prediction
Australia carry clear momentum into Game 3 and, with home conditions on their side, they will again be tough to beat. Their bowling unit is firing and their top order looks in rhythm, a combination that typically translates into repeat results in short-form cricket.
India absolutely have the class to respond, and you would expect a stronger showing. The Indians rarely play well on the bigger MCG where there power doesn't really match the Aussies, but I think they will be more at home in Hobart. Back them to bounce back and win Game 3.
