Are the Roosters a Dangerous Team?
The Roosters are a team on the rise but their most recent performance against the Knights casts doubt on this. Scraping home 12-8 with just 10 minutes remain, a more complete performance was expected. Having just a 46% share of possession, they attempted to combat this with an 80% completion rate. This was well supported by averaging 9.9m per carry and 648 PCM’s. An area for improvement is their missed tackles (35) and ensuring their opponents are pressured towards the end of attacking sets.
Cowboys at Rock Bottom
The Cowboys were embarrassed at home last week in their 58-4 defeat by the Dolphins. Confident of a strong performance despite the absence of their Origin stars, it was anything but that as they conceded 10 tries. It was a horrible display. With just 44% possession, they completed at 74%, allowed 9.9m per carry, made 815 fewer metres, conceded 11 line breaks and missed 39 tackles. The best chance of improvement occurring is for them to forget this match completely and move on.
