NBA Conference Finals Betting Tips: Game 4s
OKC Thunder at Minnesota Timberwolves (Tuesday 10:30am AEST)
Series Score: Thunder lead 2-1
Following Minnesota's stunning 143-101 Game 3 offensive display, Game 4 in Minnesota anticipates another high-scoring contest. The Timberwolves shot an exceptional 57.3% from the field and 50% from three-point range, with Anthony Edwards' 30 points spearheading this vital surge. This offensive explosion, after two lower-scoring initial games, has set a new tone as the Timberwolves, now trailing 1-2, aim to sustain this potent momentum on their home court.
Conversely, the Oklahoma City Thunder are poised for an offensive resurgence after being held to just 101 points. Their Game 3 three-point shooting (14-for-44, 31.8%) was notably below their usual high standard (38.8% in the regular season, ranking amongst league elite) and is an area ripe for positive regression. Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, limited to an uncharacteristic 14 points, is also unlikely to be similarly subdued. Expect Oklahoma City’s formidable offence, the league's fourth-highest scoring in the regular season, to respond emphatically.
Both teams boast significant scoring capabilities. Minnesota’s home confidence and OKC’s expected offensive resurgence point to a high-octane affair. Supporting this, four of their last five head-to-head games have seen 220+ points. Additionally, the total has gone over in eight of the Timberwolves' last nine home playoff games.

New York Knicks at Indiana Pacers (Wednesday 10:00am AEST)
Series Score: Pacers lead 2-1
The Eastern Conference Finals intensify as the New York Knicks, buoyed by a stunning Game 3 comeback, prepare to face the Indiana Pacers again on their home floor. Indiana, still leading the series 2-1, will be under immense pressure to respond after relinquishing a substantial 20-point lead in Sunday’s 106-100 defeat. The Knicks’ remarkable fourth-quarter surge, where they outscored the Pacers 36-20, has dramatically shifted the series' momentum.
Indiana’s perimeter shooting was a significant concern in Game 3, converting a dismal 5-of-25 (20%) from three-point range. Key offensive players like Tyrese Haliburton (2-for-8 from deep) and Myles Turner (1-for-6) struggled to find their rhythm from distance, a factor the Pacers must rectify. For the Knicks, Karl-Anthony Towns was instrumental in the comeback, scoring 20 of his 24 points in the final period, while Jalen Brunson added 23 despite foul trouble. OG Anunoby also provided a crucial spark with efficient 4-for-6 three-point shooting.
Looking ahead to Game 4, Indiana will need to rediscover their offensive fluidity and shooting accuracy, particularly from beyond the arc, to avoid another collapse. The Knicks will aim to build on their fourth-quarter dominance, seeking more consistent offensive contributions throughout and hoping Brunson can steer clear of early fouls. While Game 3 (206 total points) stayed under its projected total, if Indiana’s offence rebounds and the Knicks maintain their newfound confidence, a higher-scoring affair, like what we saw in each of the last five meetings between these teams (Avg 242.5 points), is to be expected.
