Another massive Super Saturday slate awaits us on Draftstars with $60,000 guaranteed in prize money to be won in their main contest and more tickets into the $1 million AFL Star!
There’s four matches to get stuck into on Saturday kicking off with the Pies and the Crows at the MCG. Are the Crows a legitimate threat or a home town bully? Back at the Adelaide Oval the Power will host the Cats in what should be another cracking game. The Giants will welcome the Dockers to Engie Stadium while the lone evening match will see the Bulldogs and Bombers go at it under the roof of Marvel Stadium. Looks like a fantastic day of AFL action!
As always this is all about the daily fantasy and this massive Saturday slate draws another massive $60,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest. In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $60,000+ Saturday
AFL $5,000+ Saturday High Roller ($150 Entry)
AFL $3,000+ Saturday Mini ($2 Entry)

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 10 Saturday
AFL Fantasy Round 10 Saturday: Where to Attack?
We have eight strong teams in action on this slate so weaknesses aren’t quite as obvious to exploit.
Geelong and Port Adelaide are both struggling to contain key forwards, and if we ignore West Coast, they are among the leakiest teams in the league in terms of fantasy points conceded to these types of players. Jesse Hogan kicked a bag against the Cats last week while Riley Thilthorpe was a dominant force against the Power.
Both the Cats and Power are also conceding points in the ruck, although we do have some recent personnel changes for both teams in that position.
The Giants are also leaky in the ruck position with Kieran Briggs struggling. The Giants have conceded over 10 points above the league average this season, and Briggs gave away big numbers against makeshift ruckman Mark Blicavs (116) last week. With Freo running with one ruck this week, looks like a good opportunity for Luke Jackson to cash in.
For the Giants, I’d be looking to their backline with Freo happy to concede points to opposition defenders.
The only match I’m wary of is the Pies and Crows match with both teams proving difficult to score against for fantasy players this season.
Might be a good slate to pick and choose from a variety of teams.
Game Script: Cats/Power key forwards, Dockers ruck, Giants defenders
AFL Fantasy Round 10 Saturday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Will Hoskin-Elliott ($6,000) is back to a bare minimum price after some pretty poor output this season. His score two weeks ago was sub-affected as well, so as long as he doesn’t get the vest again, then his potential far exceeds this price. Scored two tons last season, so he has the ceiling, but is often too inconsistent to trust. On a slate with not a lot of obvious value, he might be worth a punt.
Jeremy Finlayson ($7,390) / Dante Visentini ($8,140) are both viable value plays on this slate. Visentini didn’t set the world on fire last week but he has held his place for Port as the solo ruck. Gets a great matchup here against the Cats who don’t have a recognised ruckman, so Visentini should be able to get a ton of hitouts at a bare minimum. If Mark Blicavs gets too mobile then there might be more time in the middle for Finlayson as the backup ruckman. Either way, Finlayson is in play as a key forward at a good price.
AFL Fantasy Round 10 Saturday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Ryan Burton ($10,120) / Miles Bergman ($11,730) / Jase Burgoyne ($12,090) are all in play for the Power due to likely shifts in roles. Bergman was great last week, used as a midfield tagger which really got him involved in the play with a 112 fantasy score including 8 tackles. It’s fine if he’s playing that role, or shifting back to fill the distributor role after the loss of Kane Farrell. It seems more likely that Burgoyne or Burton might step into that role, and both are capable of hunting the cheap ball and ballooning their fantasy score for us.
Luke Jackson ($12,850) looks a great ruck choice on this slate. He only has two tons this season and an 88.5 average, but he has much better opportunity here with Sean Darcy out of the side. Jackson will get the keys to himself and should dominate Kieran Briggs in the ruck and around the ground.
AFL Fantasy Round 10 Saturday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Lachie Ash ($14,270) / Lachie Whitfield ($16,410) should have a great time playing kick-to-kick against Freo who are happy to concede points to opposition defenders. Ash has been one of the players of the season with a strong 101.0 average and five big tons. His consistency has been a highlight. Whitfield is more expensive but probably gives you a higher ceiling with three 120+ games this season and a 113.9 average.
Marcus Bontempelli ($15,750) is the 8th most expensive midfielder on this slate, which feels too low for me. The Bont has the ability to score as well as anyone in the league, so based purely on price, he feels in play for me. Should enjoy a free-flowing game against the Dons under the roof to go large.
Here's our Suggested Draftstars Lineup for AFL Fantasy Round 10 Saturday

Weather Report for Saturday May 17th
Melbourne - Light rain, 13 degrees
Adelaide - Light rain, 16 degrees
Sydney - Scattered showers - 20 degrees
The first signs of Winter setting in will hit us on Saturday as temperatures start to drop around the country. There might be some showers or light rain which shouldn’t affect fantasy scoring too much at all.
