With no Thursday Night Football this weekend, the Friday night double header kicks off Round 11 of the NRL Premiership. First up, two teams desperate to keep their seasons alive go head-to-head in the Hunter, as the Eels travel to Newcastle to take on the Knights. Then, a blockbuster will treat fans as the Bulldogs host the Roosters in a true acid test for the Chooks. Two competitive games of football, and plenty of fantasy options to get you in the money.
Draftstars have several contests on offer for Friday night, including single-match contests, and combined matchups. These include:
NRL $6,000 – Knights v Eels
NRL $8,000 – Bulldogs v Roosters
NRL $3,000 – Friday Night doubleheader

NRL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 11 Friday
NRL Round 11 Friday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Jacob Saifiti ($10,760) has pushed his claims for a Blues jersey over the past fortnight, with a couple of big performances in a row. Saifiti couldn’t manage to put 40 points together over his first four games this season, but his last two scores of 50+ all in pure base stats make Saifiti a great pick up at price. With a realistic floor of 40, and a ceiling of 60+ with a try, Saifiti is a great purchase in the low-mid range.
Matt Doorey ($8,000) gets the start on the edge this week for the Eels, and like Charlie Guymer two weeks ago, is a great pick up for bottom dollar. Whilst it’s likely Doorey won’t get the full 80 minutes, if he can get the 55-60 minutes that Guymer looked like getting whilst starting, you can fully expect Doorey to punch out 40+. In games off the bench this season, Doorey has averaged 0.93 points per minute, and whilst he does have a couple of attacking stats, the way he plays makes this replicable. 40-60 points is a likely mean score for Doorey, at bottom dollar. Buy.
NRL Round 11 Friday: Our Mid Priced Fantasy Picks
Matt Burton (13,910) has had two injury effected scores this season, which is bringing his price down nicely for us here. In games Burton has finished this season, he averages 55, which when looking at the other half/hooker options in this slate, would be near the top. The fact we are getting him for $6k cheaper than the most expensive half, is terrific value. Whilst the Roosters have been vastly improved in the past month, the Bulldogs are still solid favourites at home, which should lend itself to a solid score here for Burton.
Bradman Best ($13,860) has averaged over 40 this season, despite only scoring two tries. This week, I will be stacking the Knights’ left edge in several teams as they take on the weaker right edge of the Eels. Best has a big ceiling, with three scores this season around the 70 mark, and as mentioned, these scores aren’t when Best has scored multiple tries. With Zac Lomax back on the right edge, and Mitch Moses still finding his feet, this newly formed Eels’ right edge defence could be in for a long night against the Knights.
NRL Round 11 Friday: Our Best Premium Fantasy Picks
James Tedesco ($17,680) has one last chance to push for the Blues #1 jersey, and despite the Roosters coming up against the best defence in the NRL, Tedesco will no doubt be in everything for the Roosters. With only two scores all season below 50, Tedesco realistically has a terrific floor, with the only concern being the Bulldogs completely shutting the Roosters down. If the Chooks are in this game, you can expect a minimum of 50 points from their talismanic fullback, whilst the ceiling is as high as anyone in this slate. Play with confidence and expect Teddy to make the Blues’ selectors think long and hard about their fullback for game 1.
Viliame Kikau ($16,210) has looked tremendous the last couple of weeks and appears back to his destructive best on the left edge for the Bulldogs. Whilst Kikau’s base stats aren’t quite there with the elite back rowers, his ability to push out attacking and power stats is close to the top for the position, regularly scoring points with tackle breaks, offloads, line break assists, and try assists. Always a chance at a meat pie himself, Kikau and Burton should prove to be a nice little stack in this slate.
