Caulfield hosts Saturday racing in Melbourne this week and a sunny day of around 20 degrees greets punters.
The track will remain Good and trainers of Soft and Heavy track specialists will be waiting patiently for the cooler months ahead.
Race one starts at 12:10pm (AEST) and the race has been marred by scratchings, so we'll concentrate elsewhere as Brendan Bunworth brings you his three best bets of the day which are below.

Caulfield Racing Tips: Saturday, May 10th 2025
Race 4: Assured Insurance Brokers Handicap - 1:50pm (AEST)
(6) Madiyaa is a filly on the up and she won well last start after being backed into $1.60 fav with Stackhouse on top. On debut at Pakenham she was second last at the 400m and stormed home for 2nd and with a good draw here in 3 she may settle closer again around the midfield mark. Both of her starts have been on Good tracks which she gets again here for Team Hayes.
(1) Foreverintime is better on Dry ground and has drawn well in barrier 6. She likes this distance and she will start her run alongside Madiyaa which may assist. Double figure odds.
(10) Ahha Ahha looked gone but came again to place at Cranbourne last start and the Clinton McDonald trained filly didn’t have much luck in that race.
(6) Madiyaa
$3.00 (2 units)
Race 7: Ern Jensen Funerals Pinder Family Mile - 3:40pm (AEST)
(9) Ambassadorial I chose on this site a fortnight ago and he ran 2nd (beaten a bloody nose). I will stick with him again here from barrier 1 and I think McNeil will position him up behind the leader. The track deteriorated to a Heavy 8 at The Valley last time and he won’t get that here which will be good.
(6) Too Much Caviar has won 5 from 17 races on Dry tracks and he should settle close enough in about 4th in the run. Jett Stanley sticks with him and would have benefited from being on top under race conditions last start.
(8) Ocean Beyond was unlucky at Warrnambool when placing over the carnival. Gets a good barrier here in 3 and this race is easier than his last couple. Hasn’t won in over 2 years though.
(10) Mirzann resumes for Waller and was backed to win in a few races during the Spring. Interesting runner.
(9) Ambassadorial
$4.60 (1 unit)
Race 9: Wagstaff Group Handicap - 4:50pm (AEST)
(14) Prancing Spirit is a Dry track specialist but will need a peach of a ride from Hannah Edgely because he has drawn the carpark in barrier 18. At Mornington last start he had the gun draw and finished 2nd and Stokes has chosen to remain at the 1200m. Before that run he got beaten a head at this track so another run at Caulfield will do him good. Likes this distance and has been in the money 4 from 6 at this track.
(3) Oh Too Good has won 4 from 8 on Good tracks and has run 4 placings so its fair to say is very good on the Dry too. Won a Pakenham jumpout last week and looks ready first up where she has won 2 from 2 when fresh.
(10) Pivot City ran on well at Bendigo last start for 3rd and he is running consistently. He has drawn well again in 3 and he should get the run of the race after being caught too wide last start.
(14) Prancing Spirit E/W
$8.00/$2.70 (0.5u e/w)
