Brisbane Bullets vs Adelaide 36ers

Friday 7:30pm AEDT, February 9th, Nissan Arena

The 12-14 Bullets will host the 11-15 36ers in what will feel like an elimination final in the second game of Friday night’s double-header. The Bullets have gone off the boil a touch in recent weeks and have lost three of their past four games, while the 36ers were on a four-game win streak prior to their last start loss against the methodical JackJumpers. Not a lot splits these teams in terms of their record and ladder position, and nothing separates them in their season series which is currently tied at one win apiece. With so much at stake in the penultimate regular season round, you can expect both teams to bring their best effort and intensity, which turns the game into more of a defensive slog more often than not. The current total points line sits at 180 at UniBet, and that seems far too high, especially considering there’s been an average of 169 points scored across their two meetings this campaign.

SE Melbourne Phoenix vs Tasmania JackJumpers

Saturday 5:30pm AEDT, February 10th, John Cain Arena

The end of the season can’t come quick enough for the Phoenix who have been copping flogging after flogging in the second half of NBL24. Injuries have been the main reason for their demise and there has been little to no letup in that space. The Phoenix have lost 10 of their past 12 games and are almost certain to finished on the bottom of the standings. Meanwhile, the JackJumpers put their best foot forward last time out against the 36ers whom them beat convincingly at home. Importantly, they were able to make it back-to-back wins for the first time since Round 10, which was sure to please coach Scott Roth who had been furious with his team’s inconsistency. The JackJumpers will be eager to finish the regular season well to secure a home final or two in the post-season, and I expect them to be far too good for the Phoenix on Saturday night as a result.

Tasmania JackJumpers -8.5

Perth Wildcats vs Cairns Taipans

Melbourne United vs New Zealand Breakers

Sunday 2pm AEDT, February 11th, John Cain Arena

Melbourne United did all their heavy lifting early in the season and have been in cruise control of late. They remain two games clear on top of the standings and are a lock to remain there. Still, they’d prefer to be heading into the post-season in better form than they’re currently in, as they’ve traded wins with losses across their past eight outings. In contrast, the New Zealand Breakers are in anything but cruise control, with every one of their remaining games being high intensity, do-or-die battles. They managed to pull out a terrific three-point win against the in-form Hawks in their opening game of Round 19, led by Parker Jackson-Cartwright who was immense with 31 points and seven assists. The Breakers now find themselves in fifth spot in the standings and may only need one more win from their remaining three games to clinch a playoff berth. With that in mind, I expect them to be doing everything they can to push United all the way on Sunday.

New Zealand Breakers +7.5

$1.90 (2 Units)

Sydney Kings vs Illawarra Hawks

Sunday 4pm AEDT, February 11th, Qudos Bank Arena
