NBA Betting Tips: Saturday, December 6th 2025

Portland Trail Blazers at Detroit Pistons (11:30am AEDT)

It has been a tremendous turnaround for the Detroit Pistons over a two-year span. They had an abysmal 14-68 record in 2023-24 before improving to 44-38 in 2024-25. Right now, they boast a 17-5 record which leads the East – a lot of credit goes to star point guard Cade Cunningham and center Jalen Duren.

For the Blazers, forward Deni Avdija has taken a big jump from 16.9 points per game to 25.8. His assist count is also 6.2 per game, up from 3.9 last season. This coincides with an increased usage rate of 27.9% (23.1% last season). It is a long injury list for the Blazers with Jrue Holiday still out. The Pistons injuries are nothing to write home about, and they should have too much depth at home for the Blazers.

It should be a strong pace throughout with both teams playing up-tempo basketball. The Blazers continue to struggle from deep, and the Pistons will apply relentless defensive pressure – they are one of the best defensive teams in the league and that could see the Blazers attempting low-percentage shots.

Pistons -7.5

Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls (12:00pm AEDT)

Two struggling teams clash with the Indiana Pacers (4-18) taking on the Chicago Bulls (9-12). The Bulls started the season well before quickly reverting back to being a struggling side in the East. This is a must-win game for the Bulls if they want to get their season back on track against the Pacers who are going to be a lottery team.

The Bulls enter the contest on a five-game losing streak and they won’t get a better chance to break through for a much-needed victory. They did lose 103-101 to the Pacers on November 30, but returning home should see them prove hard to beat.

Without their key playmaker in Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers have often looked stagnant offensively, scoring just 110.6 points per game as a team, which ranks 29th in the league. Chicago averages 119.1 points per game in comparison – the Bulls can cover the -4.5 line.

Bulls -4.5

Los Angeles Clippers at Memphis Grizzlies (12:00pm AEDT)

A drama-filled season continues for the LA Clippers (6-16) after sending their former franchise player Chris Paul home. In what is meant to be a farewell tour for the 21-year veteran who averaged 18.2 points and 9.6 assists for the Clippers in seven seasons, CP3 has been banished from the team, and he may have played his last NBA game if he is unable to find a new team.

The Memphis Grizzlies (9-13) await them, and things aren’t that positive here either with Ja Morant out with injury. Morant is likely to be traded sooner rather than later.

It was a 115-92 victory for the Clippers over the Atlanta Hawks last game and they can take that momentum in a bid to try and win back-to-back games for just the season time this season. James Harden is averaging 26.9 points and 8.4 assists per game – when he shows glimpses of his best, the Clippers are dangerous. He may need to score big in order for them to get the road win. He will be supported by Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac and John Collins.

While both teams have losing records this season, the Clippers can cover the small -1.5 line that has been set.

Clippers -1.5

$1.93 (1.5 Units)
