The red-hot Thunder will look to make it six wins in a row and nine from their last 10 when they head to Atlanta to take on the Hawks. On the back of some outstanding play from superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder have emerged as a legitimate championship contender this season. Elsewhere, the Hawks are anything but contenders and a major shakeup to their roster is to be expected as we approach the Trade Deadline. The Hawks have even struggled to defend home court this season, winning only four of their 13 games in front of their disgruntled fans. Needless to say, the Thunder deserve to be the short favourites to secure another win on Thursday and I’m happy to back them in to get the job done.

Toronto Raptors at Memphis Grizzlies

The Raptors will hit the road for the first time since shaking up their roster by bringing in RJ Barrett from the Knicks in exchange for OG Anunoby. The Raptors have played one game at home since the trade and managed to pull off a narrow win against the Cavaliers, with Barrett chipping in with 19 points and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are trying to make up for lost time after being without superstar Ja Morant for the first 25 games of their campaign. Their form has turned around positively since his return, with five wins from their last eight games. The Grizzlies remain at home where they won last outing against the Spurs and will fancy their chances against the Raptors who have lost seven of their last eight games on their travels. Take the home team in this one.

Miami Heat at Los Angeles Lakers

The final game of the massive Thursday slate is between two teams looking to break two-game losing streaks. The Jimmy Butler-less Heat will travel to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles to take on the LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Lakers. The Heat were no match for the Clippers last start when losing by 17 points (104-121). It was the lowest total they’ve produced since early December, which certainly isn’t ideal. Elsewhere, the Lakers have struggled to find their best form since lifting the inaugural NBA Cup on December 9th. They’ve lost eight of their eleven games since, although most of those have come on the road. The Lakers now return home where they’ve amassed a tasty 11-4 record thus far, which is sure to bring about some confidence. With that in mind, I’m keen to take the Lakers to defeat the Heat who will continue to be without their best player.
