Indiana Pacers vs Los Angeles Lakers

The Indiana Pacers have barraged their way through to the final of the NBA Cup, knocking over top team after top team to reach the final game. They outlasted the Bucks last start thanks to yet another brilliant performance from Tyrese Haliburton. He had 27 points, 15 points and 0 turnovers in the win, showing that he’s one of the brand-new superstars of the association.
The Los Angeles Lakers are also yet to put a put wrong in this inaugural tournament and look determined to add some silverware to their collection. They absolutely obliterated the Pelicans in the semi-finals, dominating them from start to finish and allowing plenty of rest for their starters in the process. LeBron James showed his intent with a massive 30-point performance in limited minutes.
Obviously, both teams have taken this tournament very seriously which is why they find themselves ultimately competing for the first ever NBA Cup. The Lakers will start as the favourites due to them having the more experienced bodies in these types of intense battles, however, the Pacers have shown that while they may be young, they’re certainly up for the challenge. We have literally zero information to go off in terms of historic results in this NBA Cup, but I still fancy the Pacers to at least keep this one tight.
