Melbourne vs St Kilda Prediction & Tips: 2025 AFL Round 12
Faith vs Fire: Saints Look to Exorcise Demons in Desert Showdown
After an exciting start to the season, it’s been a torrid last month for the Saints who have lost three straight games including a horror performance against the Eagles two weeks ago. They were more competitive at home against the Suns in Round 11, but still went down by 19 points as the midfield failed to fire once again. The Saints have struggled in recent history against the Demons, losing their last five straight games, with the first of that streak coming at Traeger Park back in 2020.
Hells Bells Are Ringing: Demon Resurgence in Full Swing
On the contrary to the Saints, the Demons started the season slow but have been in fantastic form over the last month or so, winning five of their last six games, the most recent of which was over last year’s Grand Finalists in Sydney and Brisbane. The form of star small forward Kysaiah Pickett has been the catalyst for the Demons resurgence, booting nine goals in the last three games. The Dees now sit just one win outside the top eight.
Saints Get Rare Size Break
The Saints have had some shocking matchups over the last few weeks in regards to their serious deficiencies in key defenders at the moment. They might finally get a bit of respite from that as the Demons are probably one of the only sides in the league who don’t dominate them for height at that end of the ground.
Saints or Demons? Here’s our Melbourne vs St Kilda Tip
The Demons start as 11.5 point favourites in Darwin, which seems a little low given the two teams form at the moment. The Saints are battling form and injuries, with key players like Dougal Howard, Max King, Jack Macrae and Liam Stocker sidelined. While both sides field relatively undersized lineups, Melbourne’s cohesion, midfield strength, and recent experience in the Red Centre give them a clear edge. St Kilda will need a big lift from Jack Steele and their ground-level game to stay competitive, but against a settled and surging Demons side, it may not be enough.

Melbourne vs St Kilda Player Prop Bet: Sinclair Surge
Our Best Player Prop: Jack Sinclair 30+ Disposals
Sinclair has had 30+ in two games this year, but I think he will play well in what should be dry and hot conditions up north. He had 30 against the Demons last season and Melbourne average 12.1 behinds per game this year, the fourth most of any team in the league, giving Sinclair plenty of kickout opportunities.

Demons vs Saints Same Game Multi
Jack Sinclair 25+, Hunter Clark 15+, Marcus Windhager 15+ Disposals - Our whole same game multi for this game is going to be based around the fact that we think there should be plenty of extra ball to go around in the Saints midfield with Jack Macrae still out of the line-up. Each player on the list saw a significant bump in production last week compared to previous games, with Clark and Windhager racking up 19 disposals each while Jack Sinclair had 29 possessions.
