Happy Valley Racing Tips: Wednesday January 17th
Wednesday night racing at Happy Valley returns! Racing under lights in Hong Kong is always a spectacle and always presents competitive racing. Keen to see how a few short picks go tonight in races they look well-placed in.
Race 1: Murray Hcp (C5) - 1800m (21:10 AEST)
(2) Turtle Again is going to be awfully hard to beat given the way he’s been performing of late and the fact that he’s still in this grade. From gate 2 he shouldn’t have any trouble getting a nice run.
(5) Sunny Baby drops in grade here and can threaten. His poor last few attempts were up in grade but he returns to winnable company this time.
(3) Ai One gets a nice run here from the inside gate. He’s not one of the top performers of late but can improve with the gun run this time.
(2) Turtle Again win

Race 5: Ice House Hcp (C4) - 1650m (23:10 AEST)
(7) Win Win Fighter was unlucky not to win last start to the eye and has been racing well his last few. Tends to get back in his races which is a minor concern but with luck he’s the one to beat.
(4) Satirical Glory ran 2nd in a solid performance at short odds behind a blowout at huge odds Atmoic Beauty. Gets another chance here with Zac Purton booked. Close to a win.
(5) Sturdy Ruby gets run of the race in this race and was solid last start finishing 3rd. He’s the obvious danger to this favourite.
(7) Win Win Fighter win

Race 6: Club Hcp (C4) - 1200m (23:45 AEST)
(2) Beauty Infinity is progressive. His performance last start indicated that and he should make a mess of this field if he improves any more (which he should in his 3rd career start).
(3) Happy Trio won’t be far away in the run and with Karis Teetan on poses the biggest threat to the favourite. Boasts a strong record over this trip and looks dangerous.
(10) Super Eagle can’t be trusted to win. He does get Zac Purton aboard for the first time here which might be the extra push he needs to win a race. One to consider for exotics.
